[Because, obviously, everybody needs food but not everybody needs diamonds. Silly.]

I'd not be surprised to find a precious stone or two in the mines, but I don't presume they'll have quite the same properties in this world. Besides, most gems need refinement before they're usable as enhancing accessories. Not one of my own talents, I'm afraid.
