WILLPOWER The chamber at the back of the cave is not unlike the one before it - it's large and oppressively dark, with shallow pools of water puddled on the floor. However, it isn't entirely impossible to see; off in a far corner of the cavern, there's a dim light shining pale blue, the soft glow pulsing steadily like it's keeping time, like a heartbeat. It's likely, however, that you're not going to get a good look at whatever is causing it before a voice rings out from the entrance behind you, immediately setting the Spiritombs off with loud, ringing shrieks that indicate over half a thousand souls aren't pleased with what seems to be happening here, and as the words register, you'll realize it's probably for good reason. "In the name of Team Galactic, I'm going to have to ask you all to leave. The Guardian is rightfully ours." It's immediately obvious that at the very least, the voice doesn't belong to Saturn - it's higher-pitched, belonging to a woman from the sound of it. Turning to face the source will reveal a woman in full Galactic grunt uniform; she seems young in the face and she's rather short, though she's built as though she's likely strong for her size. While she's clearly here to do a task, her eyes are noticeably just as devoid of spirit as the others that you've seen - she's just as heavily brainwashed as the rest. The Spiritombs you've encountered will do their jobs; they'll protect the Lake Guardian physically, promptly proceeding to get between it and...well, everyone else here. They aren't going to back down until the perceived threat is dealt with; they really, really don't like Team Galactic. What happens now is up to you.

Well, I imagine it’ll becomes more common eventually. Hopefully it doesn’t end up as ubiquitous as telephones, but...

It's obvious to her immediately, this is a deity. This one is the lake guardian. She smiles for it, and while she considers giving a prayer or something she really doesn't know the procedure...?

Go with the plan they had. She reaches around the egg on her backpack to get out a potion or two and head closer to the creature. ]

[He definitely didn't need to see it to know what they were dealing with. It was Gentiana's words, soft as snow and firm as ice. The faint tingle left in the air after Ramuh's lightning struck the ground. The tremors of Titan's call, miles away beckoning them to answer. Leviathan's voice, raging against humanity in a language long unspoken.]

[...The sound of a message in his head, echoing a warning.]

[Ignis didn't answer Camilla immediately--instead he took a step back defensively, color slowly draining from his face. When he did speak, it was unsteady and halting--his attention focused fully on the guardian even if he couldn't see it.]

Can...do you have any curatives left? Be careful.

[It doesn't react, but you get the feeling that it knows you're there and what you're trying to do. You're welcome to approach, the Spiritomb won't stop you and the deity won't either.]

[Rin waves a hand to that, not that he can see it.]

I can do the same thing with airport luggage. [Not even counting Zelretch's trunk, but that one at least was made by a wizard.] Or could, not too long ago.

[NOW SHE'S SULKING.] But ugh, yes. If he really did make this, even I have to admire his prowess.

Ah, I see. [And that's not him just saying he does when he doesn't. He's familiar with the concept- he just has a different term for it.] It's more advanced than what I'm used to, but you're right that it still seems intuitive.

Ah... well, remember how I told you about moving pictures? Computers present information that you can modify, like text and images. The internet is a newer thing that’s... basically computers connected together.

[Alright, then, that makes this easier enough. Camilla is going to start spraying the potion on our dear tiny friend here, then, going for the spots that look like they've gotten hit the hardest first. It's always best to start there.]

[You should be able to get to the spots easily enough, even without Azelf moving. After a moment, it opens its eyes and shifts a bit so Camilla can get the injuries on its other side. It doesn't say anything, but the radiating aura is getting strong.]

[ . . . Huh! ] So similar to the Sheikah Slate, perhaps? Though with the ability to make your own notations?

[It doesn't react much, but it will let Zelda spray it with the potion. The injured spot she sprays heals up immediately, but there are still other spots to attend to. Keep going?]

Team Galactic must have all manner of powerful technology...I mean, if this is the standard they give to their grunts - and we know Saturn is in control of the machines that remove people's spirit - what else can they do?

[Whatever hesitation he felt didn't last too long; whether because of the residual sense of courage in the air or Ignis himself snapping back to his senses, but he carefully walked up beside Camilla.]

...I didn't expect the guardian to be closer in size to a Messenger. The smallest form I know of our gods ever having taken was still that of a human.

Okay, come on, Camilla, come on, keep your focus. She'll gladly be going for those injuries very easily, and she notices the aura growing ever stronger. It's definitely pleasing, to say the least.]

Neither did I, if I can be upfront. It's quite a darling little thing...I think I prefer it to something that could rival an ancient dragon, however.
