Week 15.
WEEK 15 The past week has been a difficult one, and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier; for the time being it seems the world is stagnating. This much lack of change isn't normal, at least not compared to the first time you've arrived; there are only two possible conclusions to be drawn - either Cyrus has finally succeeded in what he's been trying to accomplish, or some sort of drastic action is going to need to be taken before this world can even begin to be saved. That doesn't mean you have no potential resources, however; outside of a bit of a setback that will hit your group on Sunday morning, the departure toward Iron Island is a reasonably smooth one. Granted, it's a bit odd given that the sailor taking you out there is just as startlingly blank as the rest, but at least he seems to know where you're trying to go, it appears to have been discussed with him in advance, and getting you there is possible. The trip out there by boat will take half of Sunday; hopefully you enjoy being on the open ocean for that long. But eventually a rocky island will fade into your field of view on the horizon, and when you're allowed off the boat it'll become clear rather quickly that the island is very, very large. And with so many massive caverns to go through, it will soon become very obvious that this isn't just going to be a day trip. Finding Riley looks to be a fairly difficult task, but it isn't impossible; furthermore, there may be reasons for hope to be found in the abandoned mines of Iron Island. There are a few people here, and while they seem a little strange still, they also seem to have their spirits a bit more intact than those on the mainland; talking to them will reveal the same difficulties and conversational problems that the other citizens of Sinnoh were experiencing for a while, but they aren't nearly as blank as they used to be... POKEMON AVAILABLE: IN CAVES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week fifteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

Bucky. Okay.
[This is fine, he is satisfied with this.]
We have someone named Buck that I know of, the younger brother of one of our Elite Four. I don't know where he's ended up nowadays.

My best friend calls me "Buck."
Here's to hoping he's all right.
[He sort of shrugs with one shoulder, trying to dismiss the moment.]
Cynthia told us to look for you, said something about how you might be able to work as an intermediary with Darkrai and Cresselia.

[He doesn't sound bothered or put out by this any, at least. A little abrupt, but that's just kind of his personality.]
It's not something I've ever done before, though I understand why you would ask. I'm not going to say no to anyone opposing Cyrus, definitely.

...A toll will be exacted against him eventually. That's the sort of thought that keeps me going.

It seems suiting, given what he must have done to our Legendary Pokémon. From what I've heard, he doesn't consider it violence, but I'm sure that the Creator probably thinks otherwise.

I actually felt a little sorry for the guy, when he... confronted us. Something clearly fucked him in the head, but my sympathy for him was already limited.
[This probably goes without saying, but]
It vanished with him deciding he needed to end the damn world for a second time.

[It sounds like he does, honestly, even if he doesn't seem altogether great on the empathy department; he's a good person, but he tends to be a bit too blunt and direct to seem the sort to have much need for sympathy.
But he works with Aura for a reason.]
I haven't met him personally. For many reasons, I never want to, though opposing him may eventually lead me down that path. I haven't wanted to do so until I'm certain I'm prepared - there's no point in rushing in and getting myself destroyed if I'm still capable of helping people otherwise.
But I also haven't wanted to face him for the reason you mentioned. The concern that I'll sense something deserving of sympathy. It seems like something we can't afford at the moment.

No, I don't think we can.
He thinks we're all dead right now, though I doubt that's gonna last long.
[There are a lot of them.]
But I think we should embrace the upper hand for however long we have it.
