Week 16.
WEEK 16 The world continues to stagnate. It's an undeniable truth, one that's more or less a constant in your lives; you can see it in the people and the Pokรฉmon both, even after you arrive in Oreburgh City. The same blank stares and behind-the-eyes deadness that Cyrus' new world brought with it are everywhere, difficult to ignore and impossible to escape. However little the people are interested in you, however, they are still present, and with Darkrai and Cresselia having agreed to help you, that has to count for something; with both dream deities and the Lake Guardians, perhaps hope hasn't faded - perhaps spirit can still be restored to the world, as long as there's a world left to restore it to. That isn't to say, however, that the city itself holds nothing for you; there's a fair amount to see here, and a few things to explore if you're so inclined to do so; the mines in particular are open to the south, and extends far beneath the region. Take care not get lost, should you venture in. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS / CAVES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week sixteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

AGAIN.
This time, oh god, it definitely sounds like the screaming cat hit something--there's a very distinct sound of roaring of some kind, and lots of cat yowling as Arion and Altena run into view, pretty much just. Screaming in unison? It's a shitshow and a half. It doesn't help that Arion can't see shit, and he's just kind of trying to get her off his head.
...Point is, they are probably running at Gaston. What will he do now?]
no subject
Move!
[But Gaston is strong! He can handle this! Gaston used Endure!]
no subject
Prepare to be absorbed into the cartoon-esque fightcloud incoming, then. At the very least Arion's mostly just attacking with bites, so enduring should be pretty easy? And Altena's just. Going for anything she can, honestly.
It's going to last a bit, before Camilla finally runs on over and just kind of. Heaves in a breath of air, before giving the quarreling duo the biggest scare of their life with a sharp whistle.]
Arion. Altena. Cease this nonsense at once!
[...yeah they're just gonna try to run off, sorry Gaston, Mom's mad--]
no subject
Speaking of Gaston's trainer, he'll saunter over once the fight has dispersed and lift Gaston's arm in the air.]
THE WINNER!
[this is ridiculous but Gaston seems overjoyed]
no subject
Camilla's going to return her partners into their Poke Balls--she knows Arion isn't going to like it, but she'll let him back out later, at the very least. She at least claps for Gaston, a clearly exasperated look on her face.]
Well done, dear. You won very handily against the both of them, unfocused they may be. [She'll go and grab a few berries, actually, offering them out while looking up to Michael.] Do allow me to apologize, Michael; I didn't anticipate that the two of them would get caught up so quickly!
no subject
[He says in the voice of someone who absolutely didn't just stand by and allow all of that to happen. Gaston, meanwhile, gobbles up his fair winnings! For doing nothing!]
What even happened? That seemed like a whole thing.
no subject
[Honestly, Camilla sounds utterly exasperated?]
I know whatever she did left the ground damp after using it...but she's not the proper type to use something like that. Truly, I'm at a loss.

...She may have mimicked one of Haar's moves. That certainly looked like Water Gun, but...that's so unusual. It must be a different type of move, because she was fighting against Arion when it happened--and that isn't a move he knows at all.

[She doesn't put it past Altena, really, but she will let the cat out of the ball--Altena seems a little pissy, honestly, hissing a bit at Gaston before Camilla gets her attention.]
Altena, sweetie? Could you use that move of yours that you tried earlier?
[Altena makes some kind of face at that--borderline disgusted? Irritated? Just wants to take a nap? Who knows.
Once she sees Camilla is serious, however, she obliges; as for what's unleashed? Well, perhaps unusually, it's a rather strong Gust that blows away a few rocks nearby.]
no subject
Huh. Looked kinda like a wind thing. [Luckily, you have Michael the Living Sinnoh Pokedex here!] Glameow doesn't learn any attacks like that naturally - although you can teach them something called Aerial Ace. They don't learn Mirror Move, no Mimic...oh! There's something called Assist, lets them "use an ally's attack."
no subject
Altena, is that it? Were you using Assist?
[The Glameow gives a meow that's basically an equivalent to 'Duh.', and Camilla practically gleams with delight.]
Oh, thank you! A move like that will truly be to Altena's benefit--she's very fond of surprise attacks, I've found. Really, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that she'd learn something as nifty as this. I wonder if it's something your dear Janet could learn as well?
no subject
[But heck, he'll let her out.]
Hey, Cat Janet, you know Assist?
[Cat Janet considers this, and then uses Water Pulse. At a nearby wall, thankfully, and not Altena.]
Huh. What do you know?
no subject
[Camilla claps at that, honestly smiling at Cat Janet.]
Perhaps it's something that feline Pokemon specialize in! It would certainly make sense for them to be rather crafty little fighters.
no subject
I like it! It feels much more familiar than direct combat. You know, I've never really fought a human before?
no subject
You know, I must admit I'm somewhat surprised. You're saying that none of the humans you've dealt with have tried to pick any sort of fight with you?
[Like, obviously not his friends, but.]
no subject
[Super on-brand for her to escalate like that, but she shouldn't have been able to remember the previous knives?]
No, it's more about the power dynamics. I controlled every aspect of their reality - all I ever had to do was this. [He snaps his fingers.] Not a fight.
no subject
Ah, so a lack of need instead. I suppose that does make since; if all you had to do was that, you would never have a need to fight a day in your life.
[...]
Is that something you're interested in learning how to do?
no subject
[Just sort of stated matter-of-factly, because...yeah. That's just how it is.]
I think...yeah. I think I am. I don't want to be completely useless if it ever comes to that.
no subject
Well, I would be happy to at least attempt to teach you--I've never been one of the teaching mindset, really, but fighting is something I enjoy. And it certainly would help matters.
[Hopefully his little old man body bones don't break???]
no subject
I hardly expect to become a ninja. Just not a complete liability. But I am more durable than I look, you know, we don't build 'em to break easy.
