Week 16.

WEEK 16 The world continues to stagnate. It's an undeniable truth, one that's more or less a constant in your lives; you can see it in the people and the Pokémon both, even after you arrive in Oreburgh City. The same blank stares and behind-the-eyes deadness that Cyrus' new world brought with it are everywhere, difficult to ignore and impossible to escape. However little the people are interested in you, however, they are still present, and with Darkrai and Cresselia having agreed to help you, that has to count for something; with both dream deities and the Lake Guardians, perhaps hope hasn't faded - perhaps spirit can still be restored to the world, as long as there's a world left to restore it to. That isn't to say, however, that the city itself holds nothing for you; there's a fair amount to see here, and a few things to explore if you're so inclined to do so; the mines in particular are open to the south, and extends far beneath the region. Take care not get lost, should you venture in. Hardly much less strange than anything else that's happened so far.

[he's got a bug with knives for arms, the weirdness threshold has moved around a lot]

Still, I'd be interested in the process should we come across anything of the sort.

I would, too. Maybe we can find some information around town--maybe in the museum.

A worthwhile endeavor, I'd say. Failing that, perhaps we can get a clearer grasp of this world's history.

Either way, we'll hopefully learn something useful.

Shall we not waste time, then? I've nothing so important to do that spending time in your company could ever take second priority to it.

[ He gives a quiet laugh and slides his hand into Ignis's. ]

Keep saying things like that and you'll give me a big head, Iggy.

Lucky enough I'm also the one keeping your terribly dangerous ego in check, then, isn't it?

[ He gives Ignis's hand a little squeeze. ]

Are you ready to get out of here?

I'm ever prepared to follow your lead. Shall we?

[someone teach ignis how to have a goddamn sense of individuality]

No better time than now. Ready, Hemera?

Of course.

[she is ALWAYS ready and luckily knows which way they came in, because gods know ignis has no idea.]

[ Thank god for Hemera. He leads Ignis out, and he's pretty glad to be out now!! ]

Much better.

[Ah, comparatively fresh air. Never got tiring.]

And we didn't even have to fight goblins on the way out this time.

[ He lets out a quiet laugh. ]

Oh yeah. Much less stressful.

[Ignis smiled, giving Noctis' hand a light squeeze.]

Quite a refreshing change, I should say.

[ Man, he'll never get tired of that smile. ]

Always refreshing when we don't have to fight daemons.

I can't imagine we'll be doing much of that anymore, thankfully.

[nightcure]

Yeah. Thankfully.

[ He squeezes his hand, and when they reach the museum, he opens the door. ]

Here we are. After you.

[Ignis walked in with Hemera a step or two ahead, tilting his head slightly in Noctis' direction.]

I can't say I ever honestly thought I'd willingly get you into a museum. Heavens forbid certain crown princes actually take time to study.
