[The Galactic Building is certainly one of the odder places to spend some time at, but it seems to be what some have agreed to do. It'll be interesting, if nothing else; a place that originally served to remind them of how far they were from home, being a place they willingly stayed at? It was almost unthinkable, but here we are.

Once the ordeal is finished, Camilla and Ignis are once again off into the kitchen; a long day like this deserves some good meals to go along with it. The stuff they have to work with is certainly...interesting, if nothing else; hopefully nobody minds eating vegetarian tonight, because that seems to be what the menu is comprised of tonight. Hopefully nobody minds eating their vegetables!

Apparently he can be found in a lot of other ones! It...actually makes a weird amount of sense, if you know about him. Strange guy.

To be honest, I wouldn't have thought Kayneth was such a big fan.

Is he just a really special kind of guy?

Well, Ventus knows little about the guy, so he'll take Michael's word for it. ]

I wouldn't either, because he seems like the type of guy who'd like peaceful classical music or something.

[ But what does he know of Kayneth's particular choice in music...? ]

As humans go. [Michael turns that response over in his head for a second.] Yeah. Yeah.

I'm not sure what I thought he'd like. Not that. What's the most boring type of music?

Maybe I'll get to meet him someday.

[ That sounds like it'd be fun!

...As for the musical question, he looks thoughtful and then sheepish. ]

That's pretty boring isn't it? Or wait! Old timey music can be really boring too!

[ ...says the kid... ]

Sometimes they used to use cannons as instruments, in classical music. I liked those ones.

[Says the ancient entity...who is still sort of a kid]

What's old music sound like for you?

Really? I had no idea at all...

[ That must be really, really old classical music, then. ]

But old boring music can be stuff that's on a record player and you know, has a really slow beat. The guy's or lady's singing and they sound even really old. And it's just...like the most lame tune.

[ So think 50s, but whether or not he explained it well enough is another story. ]

[Michael raises a hand quizzically as this starts. This sort of thing?]

...Yeah, something like that.

The voice sounds nicer than most of them I've heard, but it's definitely close to it.

[ Tune's definitely spot on in terms of putting Ventus to sleep, though. ]

Thought so. This is Nat King Cole. Not a particular fan of his, but one of my friends put this song on at this party we had. We thought it was our last night, so we spent hours dancing - ended up with this. Slow dance to end the evening.

[He's contemplative for a moment.]

She always did have a flair for parties.

Last night?

[ He tilts his head at him quizzically. ]

Did she -- or well -- you guys set that up because you thought you wouldn't see each other again...?

We thought the other demons were going to come back and capture us all. They might've been tortured for eternity in the same general area, technically. Not sure that counts. Janet and I would have been killed.

[ventulus]

[ ...oh. ]

I'm really glad that didn't happen. Did you guys just...get lucky?

[Mmmmm...Michael wobbles a hand a little.]

We decided that if we were doomed anyway, we'd just try this really terrible escape plan. So we went to them - snuck the humans right into the heart of demon HQ, trying to get out through the other side.

It went way better than it had any right to. I was the only one who got captured, and Janet got me out again.

[ventulus]

...Wow. So, kind of a bit of luck there too, but there was a plan, even if it was kind of terrible. It also sounds like these guys weren't paying much attention either.

[ Ventus wonders what that says about the security of this HQ place, that they only caught one person instead of a collection of people. But he's definitely okay with it since Michael (with Janet's help) and co. got out because of it! ]

Well, there's a lot of demons coming and going, and most everyone does look human. I just had them wait somewhere safe while I took care of everything - I was supposed to be there. I was actually - [He adjusts his tie a little.] - pretty important by then.

...at least, that was the idea. Obviously didn't go as planned.
