ღ don't need cars cause we've learned to fly on saturn
[The Galactic Building is certainly one of the odder places to spend some time at, but it seems to be what some have agreed to do. It'll be interesting, if nothing else; a place that originally served to remind them of how far they were from home, being a place they willingly stayed at? It was almost unthinkable, but here we are.
Once the ordeal is finished, Camilla and Ignis are once again off into the kitchen; a long day like this deserves some good meals to go along with it. The stuff they have to work with is certainly...interesting, if nothing else; hopefully nobody minds eating vegetarian tonight, because that seems to be what the menu is comprised of tonight. Hopefully nobody minds eating their vegetables!
Get some rest, everybody; it's been earned after all that's happened today.]

[She hums, light and thoughtful.]
It will not be easy, no, and I do not necessarily expect to emerge from those meetings with new friends, but we have kept the peace rather well for this long. I am not going to start believing in lost causes over the difficulties to come.

[Can the kid actually do it? Eh, we'll see.]
Mars is a weird one.

[She believes in him and all but he is!! a child!!!!]
Perhaps Jupiter has made an escape attempt, but I would not rely on its success... And Mars's loyalty is steadfast. Of course, we disagree entirely, but she is not so impossible to understand.

[Michael thinks one-on-one Pokemon battles are stupid given the circumstances! Let's use our superior numbers for something!]
I just don't know what she's so obsessed with him for. It's not like he bothers to talk to any of them. I mean, I'm new to this whole "giving a damn about people" thing, but all the people I do give a damn about also acknowledge my existence. It's more mutual.

[but yeah, okay, he guesses he hears you?]
I don't know what I'd do. If that happened to me.

...oh.

I do not have the words to tell you how grateful I am for your support earlier—but I will at least begin with thank you. I would not say any of this if I did not truly mean it.

[He slips his hands into his pockets, eyes on the ground.]
I mean, I have been the disappointment. Didn't screw up as bad as him, which is...impressive. But when he said what he did, I just thought about that.

[.....god, now he's starting to freak himself out a little with the casual torture talk, who the hell is he anymore]
I'm glad that I came here when I did. I would have hurt you all, some way or other.

[She shrugs her shoulder in a light, dismissive gesture, and her Togepi lacks any appreciation for her efforts to keep from jostling him in her arms.]
Nevertheless, I am grateful to have received the chance to meet you as you are.

[It's just hard to imagine it being anyone but his humans. But these are good people too.]
Well. Back at'cha. [He offers her a hand because...uh. Look, he doesn't know what to do in this scenario.]

[fuckin...nailing it, michael...... doing his best. except okay first of all her arms are too full of egg for her to do anything about that so first she has to hand her Togepi off to Latona, who has adapted to just sort of allowing things to happen around here, so that's a whole situation even before considering the fact that ruining this touching moment with a handshake doesn't even occur to her a little bit, she never has to shake anyone's hand she's too important, and instead she takes Michael's hand in both her own, as warm and sincere a gesture as about everything else we should probably expect of her by now]
I do just hope you know I would not say any of this if I did not completely believe it to be true.
no subject
[Why. Why are you holding his hand, what is he supposed to do with this?
After a moment of hesitation, Michael brings up his free hand to hold hers as well. This is apparently just what we're doing now?????]
I know you believe in people, and I know how that can...make them want to be better. But not everyone's like that.

still, she...doesn't answer that one right away, even though the mention of demons gets a light chuckle out of her because how many more demons does she expect to meet, just, ever, that this would be a concern—but for a moment she stays quiet, considering.]
I truly think every person has the capacity to change. I do not intend to let go of that belief, especially not now, but I will not let it compromise our group's safety, either, as much as I an able. Nothing matters more to me, so I hope you are not worried.

That's fair. I think that makes sense.
