ღ don't need cars cause we've learned to fly on saturn

[The Galactic Building is certainly one of the odder places to spend some time at, but it seems to be what some have agreed to do. It'll be interesting, if nothing else; a place that originally served to remind them of how far they were from home, being a place they willingly stayed at? It was almost unthinkable, but here we are.

Once the ordeal is finished, Camilla and Ignis are once again off into the kitchen; a long day like this deserves some good meals to go along with it. The stuff they have to work with is certainly...interesting, if nothing else; hopefully nobody minds eating vegetarian tonight, because that seems to be what the menu is comprised of tonight. Hopefully nobody minds eating their vegetables!

Get some rest, everybody; it's been earned after all that's happened today.]

Bland outlandish, huh? Sounds complicated.
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

Well, you've seen their outfits. They look like the most boring spacemen possible.
niceoppai: Contemplative. (knowledge is power)

Wait, you think people wear that in space?
enjoymyatelier: but what would that even do. (gradients of babylon...?)

It's more of an aesthetic of what we think people will wear in space when space travel is more common and less bulky.
niceoppai: Stunned, did you just say that? (discovering some fetishes here)

[personal profile] niceoppai 2018-10-12 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. We just wear, y'know, normal people clothes.
enjoymyatelier: but what would that even do. (gradients of babylon...?)

Well, some versions of it are like that, too. It depends on what the person doing the imagining thinks and how far in the future it is.
niceoppai: Nervous laugh. (hahahahaha that's a good joke)

Guess so, huh. I wonder where the idea came from.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

Well, it is a sleeker version of what our current spacesuits are like. We're pretty much in the infancy of space travel, so it's really bulky right now.
niceoppai: Staring in awe. (gonna dance on the pole)

[personal profile] niceoppai 2018-10-22 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
You mean those suits you have to wear in a vacuum? That's all you can wear in space, huh? That's ancient, but it sounds totally fascinating, too!

I think the fact that they're the only things you can wear in the actual vacuum of space is what makes people associate them with the future. After all, space is the future, to some extent, isn't it?

...Well, to us it is, anyway. It sounds like your world is advanced enough that that's ancient history.
