RECOMMENDATION. Those of you who stayed in the base last night will be left free of any Galactic interference; the grunts still seem largely too blank to care much about your presence, and it seems Saturn has given them orders to leave you alone - once in a while he kind of shoos them out of your general presence unless you tell him to stop, solely because he doesn't want to just have them standing there staring at you. However, there's one matter of business that he'll call you all into that lounge area for; nothing too terrible, just...something of a quick discussion. "I had to get in contact with Master Cyrus last night - not to inform him of anything you've done, or even notify him of your presence, but more because I imagined he would notice that the flow of time had been restarted and not driven to a halt again. I ensured he wouldn't come here in person, but just in case, you might not want to stay here more than another day or so. "Since you still aren't completely familiar with the area, I would suggest Hearthome City - it's far enough away from here that you won't be troubled with Team Galactic business, and we don't have any bases there despite the size of the city. Besides, I think it has a few things there that several of you would like. "I'd recommend going there and taking your time in leaving. I don't foresee there being a problem, but you never know." He pauses for a moment before kind of. Shifting a bit. "I still plan on being here for the next while at least; if you need to contact me, you can reach me here. For the time being, I've unlocked one of the warehouses for you; you should be able to find a crate with some of your belongings in them. Take them as you see fit." And that seems to be the end of it; feel free to spend the day here, but you might not want to stay any longer than that. [OOC: Welcome to the start of Week 18! See, he's holding an Extra as fuck Halloween costume. It might be a bit hard to make out as such since it's bundled up. But just from the bundle, it looks like something way outside what Eustace would normally wear.]

[At least Rose seems to love the prospects of it. She chirps excitedly on his shoulder, as if she's trying to get him to put it on...]

Meanwhile, he's got this uh...Vanitas' helmet in his arms right about now, so that's totally a thing. ]

Though at the question directed back at him, the blond just sort of frowns a bit, and his brows knit together too. ]

When Ventus gives his answer, Eustace tips his head, taking in the boy's demeanor as he talks about the helmet.]
You didn't care for this person, huh?
[It almost seems like talk of the helmet brings up some bad memories.]

No, I didn't. [ ... ] The person this belonged to was kind of really crazy. Sometimes, I wonder what things may have been like if we met under different circumstances, but I don't like him. At all.

[He was about as obviously not a vampire as Rose is obviously not a Pikachu.
He'll continue that topic later though, if Ventus wants. But the helmet and its owner seems like a heavier one. He'll focus on it.]
Not sure how Team Galactic got a hold of it, but it doesn't surprise me that they would want to dredge up hard feelings. [He pauses briefly to give the helmet a stern glance.] I don't know the circumstances, but if this guy makes you feel like that, then he's probably not worth considering what could have been with him.

[ The blond's expression turns from something with a bit of displeasure to one where it can be certainly called contemplative. ]
Maybe...the reason why I think about it is because I could've been him. [ Technically, he was, wasn't he? ] I know I never will be, because I would never follow Xehanort like he did. But, if it weren't for what'd happened, I would be in his shoes. It doesn't make me like him any better, and it's not like I have any regrets about facing him, but I just think about it sometimes. It's just one of those things.
[ Ventus has been admittedly thinking about it more. Especially with what happened with Saturn--maybe that's one of the many reasons he felt so strongly about it (there were admittedly a lot of good reasons to, though.) ]

There was a huge fight between me, my friends, him and Vanitas. Vanitas is the guy who followed Xehanort.
It was really tough, and...while I was able to defeat Vanitas, I'm not sure what happened to my friends.
[ It's scary. He's been at the mercy of Xehanort and all he could do was just take it. ]
I'm sure that, wherever they are, they're okay, but it'd be nice to really find out where they were and then make sure Xehanort's been defeated for sure.

...In that case, you shouldn't worry about the possibility of turning out just like Vanitas. Even if you ended up on that same path, you wouldn't have followed it exactly as he did.
[From the Ventus he knows, and as Ventus himself said, Eustace could never see him following someone like that.
As for the topic of Ventus' friends...he gives the boy a reassuring pat on the shoulder.]
If they're as capable as you, then I wouldn't doubt that they're doing okay. You'll be able to find them again when this is all over.

I think I have my friends to thank for that, and as much as I don't want to say it, it's because Xehanort sent me to live with Master Eraqus that it even happened in the first place.
[ Even if Xehanort's designs for that were also, you know, not good at all and nearly screwed them all over anyways.
He'll look at the hand and then offer Eustace a small smile. ]
... I kind of want to show them this place too, so maybe if I find them right away we'll be back here for awhile. Even with what's going on in this world, this is what I've decided on doing.

Once we finish here...that's not a bad idea. We came pretty close to seeing what this world is like fully restored, and it's one worth sharing. Think they'd like it here?

[ Ventus sure thwarted the part about becoming a "X-Blade" for Xehanort to use, and he knows that for a fact, even if things did kind of went to shit.
