Week 18.

WEEK 18 Hearthome City isn't the farthest distance away that you've traveled, but it seems that Saturn was right in telling you that it would be a good distance away from Veilstone; surrounded by forest and with the massive shadow of Mount Coronet spreading from the west, it manages to feel both massive and secluded. As usual, there's a good amount to look at, and more than enough to keep you busy; now that the flow of time has been restarted, it may feel almost like there's not enough hours in the day. Of course, that's not the only thing that's changed lately; despite the fact that there's been another one of those setbacks, it seems that overall, you've done something for the world. There's a lot more to be done, of course, but any signs of progress are good signs. An inelegant solution, but a functional one. Although, you know...I cannot be sure he can pick himself up off of his side very well, either.

Functionality is more important than elegance. [That isn't an excuse to suggest gluing rocks to the dragon, Kiryu] ...adding more to all sides would start looking tacky, though. How does this species survive in the wild if they can't get back on their feet?

It's fine. I do wonder why you took interest in this cathedral. Are you a religious person?

Oh—I am, yes. Ylisse is a holy kingdom under the protection of Naga, the Divine Dragon King at the head of the pantheon, and my bloodline carries an ancient pact of hers.

[yes the divine dragon king is a she. don't worry about it]

The similarities between my traditions and this place's are few, but...it feels as though I could step out of this cathedral and just as easily find myself in Ylisstol as Hearthome, it is so familiar.

Maybe that's why you have a dragon as your partner -- you already had a distant bond with one before you arrived here.

I have never been a religious person, but sometimes you just need a quiet place to be at for a while. Needed to think.
