Week 19.

WEEK 19 Despite the setback early Sunday morning, the physical trip to Solaceon Town is an easy one; it isn't a large distance from Hearthome City, though the town itself is so small it's a little blink-and-you'll-miss it. It's nice and temperate, though, with the ruins off to the east of the city and the houses of the townspeople nestled among the trees and fields; it's somewhat similar to Floaroma Town in feeling, and that's only amplified by the flowers near the daycare. The townspeople don't seem to know how they got there; they simply bloomed one day, bright patches of bright pink Gracideas along the fence. It's a reminder, perhaps, that you aren't alone, and your work isn't in vain. It seems the world is slowly starting to get back on its feet, too; it's a slow process, but there are changes you can see here and there, however slight. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but there's a lot that's behind you now, too; maybe it's just a matter of continuing to try. Oh, this? [Camilla's expression suddenly gets utterly enthusiastic.] We're making wonderfully warm little swaddles for these eggs! They deserve to have something entirely their own when they finally hatch--it'll be a nice little baby blankie for them!

Michael, even sludge monsters need some sort of love! They don't get to choose what they're born as.

What I'm saying is that sludge monsters can't wear baby blankies. They'd ruin them.

Well, there should be something done for them. The poor darlings do need some sort of affection...it would be quite rude to simply leave them with nothing.

No. I mean, I just put Lena's egg in my bag and didn't do anything with it. And she's fine!

Or attempted. But I suppose we'll know for sure if it was simply Azelf's intervention, if none of this properly works.

Seemed like the cause and effect there was pretty obvious.

[He picks up an egg, lifting it to the light as if trying to see through it. Then he sort of holds it to his ear for a second.]

I don't get these. If they just sat in there for longer than they were supposed to, wouldn't they die?

...That is an excellent point, really; they should have rotted by now...

[Camilla is going to take a look at said egg, contemplating it a bit.]

Perhaps there's something in the shell that prevents such a thing from happening? One of the gods blessings, or something like that.

Could be. Who knows what the gods around here do?

[They could crack one open and have a look. But that doesn't seem like an idea that would go over well.]

Do we know if the Pokemon are still breeding? Or are these just left over? Gotta say, that seems like way more physical activity than they could manage right now.

I'm not altogether certain, if I may be honest. I have sent Altena out to try to do some match-making, but I haven't the faintest idea if she's having any success with it; it's very likely that these are simply left over.

...I haven't gone out to see just how she's doing it, but I thought it might be the best method to at least try to get them to show some interest...?

It's surprisingly basic, at the very least, and it...honestly, it's a little silly because all of the Pokemon seem to be seated in duos, with some poffins between all of them. They don't look like they're doing much, but Altena's walking around and meowing at them a bit and.

...This seems to basically be speed-dating???]

...Oh. Oh dear gods...

[SHE WASN'T. QUITE EXPECTING ALTENA TO GET CREATIVE WITH THIS?]

How does she know what speed dating is? [Michael turns the same incredulous look on Camilla.] Do you know what speed dating is?

I told her of some ideas that some organizers have done for royal balls and the like--usually to simply get people dancing, but...

[SHE. SHE IS NOT SURE JUST HOW THIS HAPPENED???]

Really, I think this is all Altena's idea.
