[So. In a word, this whole confrontation could very well be described as a travesty. Between finding out a good deal about Cyrus, which could be described as their objective, and finding out everything about Dawn, it's been generally bad. This day is honestly about as canceled as Sunyshore City itself, and considering the state of the city...well, that's pretty damn canceled.

The beach is probably the last place anyone really wants to go, considering the weather, but it's there and at the very least, it's quiet. It's not much of a party, all considered, but at least they're not all cramped in the lighthouse. For whatever it's worth.

May as well rest before they go in another direction tomorrow; everyone's liable to be weary after today.]

I've kind of always been a fucked up person, you know? Kind of goes with the whole mercenary territory, but even by their standards I'm kind of a lot.

I didn't know my dad at all, I found out about him secondhand from some people that knew a lot about him. Turns out he was pretty fucked up, too, and I guess... I dunno, I felt like it explained a lot. Like maybe crazy just ran in the family.

You didn't do anything to deserve what your parents did to you, though. You were a little kid - little kids don't do anything to deserve being treated like shit or not looked after or whatever else adults do to 'em to mess them up.

I know it's not all that great to hear, but your parents, my dad - they were always going to be like that. They were always going to abandon whatever kid they had, it just happened to be you and me. It sucks, but we didn't do anything to deserve it. I know that much.
