Week 20.

WEEK 20

This past weekend was a bit...much, perhaps - between everything that happened both in and to Sunyshore City, it seems that the group as a whole may need time to recover and process everything that's happened recently. Fortunately enough, there are several cities and towns that are welcoming, full of memories that are pleasant and inspiring thoughts of that which you're working so hard to restore; Floaroma Town is one such location, and after some deliberation that's where you'll find yourselves this week.

The changes to the world, unfortunately, aren't as drastic or noticeable as they were the last time you were here; just the same, however, the town itself is peaceful, calm, and quiet, and the flower beds all seem intact and blooming brightly despite everything. There's even someone waiting for you in the meadows, should you choose to look for them, and they seem perfectly willing to brighten the spirits of anyone that needs it.

CURRENT LOCATION: FLOAROMA TOWN
POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES
SURROUNDING ROUTES: PLAINS/FOREST

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week twenty of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!]

[That's definitely getting a noticeable frown.]

Sounds like this went far beyond that mage, but I hope you were able to give him a good talking to for complying in that scheme once you tracked him down.

[A talking to with fists. Or the brunt of a sword's hilt.]

Sad thing is the mage got away. We kinda got sidetracked, so we haven't been able to track him down. The guy who was holding onto the blastia was taken care of, at least.

[I mean he died, but you know. Same thing???]

[From the sounds of things, It's What He Deserved.]

Hm. That's a shame. Glad to hear you got it back at least.

[And now comes the question that was bound to happen:]

What are blastia, exactly? A magic source?
fatalstrikes: (✵ 062)

[personal profile] fatalstrikes 2018-10-19 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Kinda. They're basically a versatile power source in our world - they can do everything from create massive barriers to protect cities from monsters to pump water into a fountain, and the smaller ones are usually carried by people who leave the cities to fight monsters. Without them, we'd be dead. They come in all shapes and sizes, and most of 'em are useful.

But there was this guy who wanted to use the power of the blastia to hurt a lot of people, and he found a giant "weapon" to do just that.

["Weapon" is very obviously in quotes, though he doesn't put any air quotes around it or anything.]

Huh. [It's an intrigued sort of "huh".] My world could use those barriers of yours. Monsters wander into villages and cities all the time.

[The difference is they can be taken care of without a source like blastia, so there's an obvious trade-off. Still, though! Sounds really useful!]

Figures. There's always scum looking to turn something good into something they can take advantage of. That the guy you referenced earlier?

Nah, that was a different guy. We've faced quite a few people who were looking to do awful things with blastia.

[Camilla's words from this morning echo in his head.]

...Doesn't really matter much now, all of 'em have been taken care of.

Sounds like it was for the best.

[He doesn't seem to have any qualms with his quick reply. If people or monsters threaten the livelihood of others with destructive forces like that, they're taken care of.

...but he does pick up on that bit of hesitation. And after everything that happened with Cyrus over the weekend, he figures it's worth speaking up.]

This place...rather, this situation works different though, doesn't it.

[Just some admittance that he's been struggling a bit too.]
