WEEK 21

It's been a while since you were last in Eterna City.

While it seems you've suffered another setback on Sunday morning, hopefully it won't completely break your morale; there have been many losses lately, but you have to keep going, especially once the state of things in Eterna City become more clear to you upon your arrival there.

The city, for lack of a better word, seems torn - the buildings seem almost patchwork in places, having been torn apart at the seams and replaced with things that seem to have come from elsewhere and nowhere all at once. Parts of other buildings, parts of trees, parts of roads, even - stay in one spot long enough and you can see it happen. It isn't ripples or pulses, like it was with Dialga; this is violent, something sharp and harsh whipping through the air in a burst of energy, tearing through all inanimate objects in its path and replacing them with something that frankly shouldn't be there.

Thankfully, the cause of this doesn't seem to be targeting you; it will leave you unharmed, though your Pokémon are definitely aware of it and the rending will cause them to flinch whenever it fires off, regardless of if it hits them or not. It's likely a stressful time for them - just as it is for the locals, who don't seem too willing to leave their homes at the moment...

After all, she's been thinking about it for a while and the Graveler really does want it, unlike the lack of interest that Bosphoramus seems to have in the evolution process. so, well, if you're there, you might be asked, ]

Please help me with bringing Urbin to evolution!

[ But then later in the afternoon and into the evening, Zelda's actually got two major places to be. The first is before the ancient statue, which Zelda is looking at and narrowing her green eyes a little bit...? Huh. Well, looking at it again, this... ]

Is somewhat like Dialga, but... [ Perhaps it's a merge of it and Palkia, or something? Mmm. But then, later on, she's riding around the town on the back of Bosphoramus the Onix while Miphanus the Metagross floats next to her and Saber the Lickilicky rolls next to her. All of them are trying to ignore the spacial distortions as they go, but Saber in particular seems to be trying to jump a little bit on whatever ramps those help make. There's no one out tonight, so they might as well move around with impunity, right? ... Hopefully they don't crash into any buildings? ]

Does Urbin need a specific move or an item?

[Well that sure is a yes, he'll help. How does this work, Zelda?]

Neither, actually. The normal gravelers of the region evolve when they switch between trainers - when they are traded.

It does look a bit like a fusion of the two, doesn't it? At least from what I remember of the murals.

[He cocks his head a bit.]

Though I suppose I'd have to see Palkia in person to be sure.

Likewise, but I can't shake the idea now.

[ So Palkia would... have arms, at least... perhaps. ]

I think it's probably supposed to be pink, too. At least, that's what I'm thinking based on the ruins...

[The problem with this city is that it's freaking out his Pokemon. Daigo usually spends his time out of his Pokeball, but when they arrive, he starts getting uneasy. Even if Kiryu tries to calm him down, Daigo keeps looking around, not wanting to approach the anomalies]

Do you want to return--

[He doesn't even finish the sentence before Daigo nods. He wants to be back into his Pokeball. Not long after that, Kiryu can be found staring at it, with pensive expression]

He wanting to be back into the ball's a bad sign. Since he evolved he kept trying to be all brave. I know him, if he got scared this badly then these anomalies must be dangerous.

[Kiryu would trust Daigo no matter what

[Yuri's got the same problem, his party are all back in their Pokéballs as well, and he's close enough to overhear Kiryu.]

It's pretty strange for some of them, isn't it? I honestly didn't think Roc even knew how to feel fear.

[He'd crack a joke about her not regaining that emotion but that's probably in poor taste...]

If I wasn't seeing it myself I'd find hard to believe this is actually happening. For them it must be terrifying

Yeah. It's not exactly the sort of thing anyone would expect to see, so I'm not surprised they're having a hard time with it.

[It's kind of wigging Yuri out too, but he's just as laid-back as ever.]

Well, sure. You get caught the wrong way in a spatial rift, it could just slice you right in half!

[It's kind of impressive, really. Kiryu hopes his Pokemon in the pokeballs didn't hear Michael say that, goodness]

Oh, not common. They're for going between dimensions, and your average demon doesn't do that on a regular basis. Kinda something restricted to the higher-ups. Oh, you need one of these...

[He releases Cat Janet, and lifts up the round metal pin on her collar. It's got a thumbs-down engraved on it.]
