Week 24.
WEEK 24 It seems that Giratina is feeling reasonable as the weekend continues on. There's something a little jarring about being returned to the flowing time and reconnected space of Mount Coronet; it might seem a little darker than you remember, a little harsher after so much time in a place where gravity was malleable. But for the time being, there's only one way to go if you want to eventually find Spear Pillar, and that's upwards and onwards. Some of the areas within the mountain have been carved out, the paths leading you through openings that will bring you around outside; you have a good view of the region from up here, though it's a rather cold one - the outside areas are covered in snow, so you might want to watch your step. But there's grass out here, and a few different kinds of Pokémon, and it generally might be good to get some fresh air while you're here and see the mark you're making on the world. Of course, the trek inside the mountain continues to be a journey; the paths do make ascending a bit easier, but a good amount of it is still climbing upwards. There are several chambers here and there to explore, however, the walls sparkling with what might be gemstones and the reflections of water shimmering off the walls - there are pools of it here and there, good places to rest near if you need to. The caverns seem safe enough (safer than the climb, anyway), and on Sunday... Well, on Sunday it seems that one of them holds a surprise for you... POKEMON AVAILABLE: CAVES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY | SATURDAY [OOC: Welcome to week twenty-four of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

Like I said, I don't know what happened. But I don't think it was that simple.
[He shines more light onto the costume in his arm so Kayneth can get a better look. It's in rough shape, and not in the way it usually looks. The neck's busted and there's a huge tear in it.]
She was with me last night, but was gone when I woke up. I found this a couple caverns over. She must've gotten into a fight with a wild Pokemon, but... [He's pretty bothered by all this.] She's never wandered off like this before.
[At least, not while he wasn't watching.]

[...he thinks about it.]
That's pretty concerning. I guess you could approach her like Medusa where you don't look directly at her...

That's the plan. And I know she wouldn't purposefully put herself in someone's path when in that state- you know how adamant she is about her costume.
[...okay, he'll be honest here.]
That's why I just can't understand why she would've left it behind. It's really bothering me.

[Rose is strong, but Mount Coronet has been pretty unforgiving. And with the wild Pokemon getting a lot more of their spirit back, they're growing unpredictable. Dangerous, even.
So, with a nod,]
I didn't see anything off on my way back from where I found the costume, so the camp's probably safe. But with luck, they didn't get far enough away to avoid being tracked down.
[If they find what got Rose, they might find Rose herself.]

I...appreciate the help.
[He's also awkward about this, obviously. It's different from when he asked for help searching for a lost ally back home. He feels responsible for this one- for not waking up when Rose wandered off. He was planning to handle this himself.
With their plan in motion, Eustace takes Kayneth to the exact place he found the costume. It's a smaller cavern with several branching paths up ahead. Nothing looks immediately off.]
The costume was lying on the ground here.
[The spot in question is pretty nondescript at a glance. Is there anything Kayneth would immediately check around for?]

[...he feels a little guilty that he doesn't even move to check for a magical signature like he would under normal circumstances, but he's been like six months without any ability to use magecraft at this point... but, nevertheless, he's still looking around for weird misty bullshit and/or anything odd about the cave ceiling.]
Is there anything different about this area than when you were last here?
no subject
It looks about the same...but it hasn't been that long since I was here. My guess is that Rose ended up somewhere deeper in.
[It's tricky to pick up on, but there is a faint residue of something of the spectral variety lingering in the cavern. Whether it came from Rose or something else is hard to determine, but traces of it are also heading down one of the branching paths.]

[He points at the spectral residue heading down that one path.]
It'd probably be best to go for that one.
