HALL OF ORIGIN. The Hall of Origin isn't without its accommodations - after all, humans do live here from time to time, with at least one of them a permanent resident, and even with Arceus' release it doesn't see fit to just make the place into the glass-paned OSHA violation that it normally seems to be. The building itself contains more or less anything you would need after an encounter like this one, whether you want to sleep or locate something to eat, or simply exist around the others for a while; the large hall you first entered into is likely the best for the latter, and you're welcome to gather there for as long as you need. ...Any food is going to be vegan as hell, however, because no one is sure what else you expected. Cyrus and all three Commanders are present for the time being, and amenable to being approached; granted, Cyrus is going to remain outside with Arceus like the asocial individual that he is. Meanwhile, Saturn and Mars in particular seem...it's difficult to say whether they seem "better" or not, but they don't seem acted upon by the Red Chain's influence anymore. (Which is likely a good thing, whether they consider it to be such or not.) There are plans to be made, of course, and things to be done; for now, however, feel free to enjoy the present moment. It's been well-earned. |

Truly...I was so utterly out of my element in dealing with that man--especially once the Creator was brought out by him. One of our sisters, Corrin...she was a sweet girl who Father brought to the castle when we were all so young--he kept her locked away from the outside world, in a fortress tended to by her servants. We always came by to give her company, however, to enrich her life as best as we were able, and even if she wasn't blood related to us, we loved her so dearly. We wanted to give that girl nothing more than the world, within our means...I was with her as often as I could with the others, reading with her, playing with her, doing anything she wanted because I couldn't stand the thought of her being so alone. Growing up that way...it's hideous, a sin in it's own right, and we all wanted to ensure that it wasn't repeated.
When she became strong enough, she'd...finally been given chances to prove herself in Father's eyes--to step outside of the castles grounds, and earn his favor. [Which, honestly, doesn't sound like the most favorable thing, but we'll. We'll get to that.] It was during one of those missions, a skirmish with the neighboring country we were at odds with, that she'd been taken by them and kidnapped by fiends. They did something to her, they convinced her that they were her true family, and she--by the time we found her, ready to take her back--in the midst of our fight with those hideous cretins, she'd turned her back on all of us and ran away!
[...okay, no, she needs to calm down, this is getting stressful--she bites back some of the personal responses, that they'd been left behind, that they felt betrayed, and though they aren't explicit, the sentiment is. Likely very obvious in her tone. Her grip tightens a bit, but she breathes and loosens it, trying to calm herself.]
...It didn't escape Father's notice, that our sister was still alive and well, and he wanted her gone. He didn't care that she was our sister anymore; he wanted her dead, by any means necessary. [...] And he ordered me to do it. It wasn't like I could refuse--Father loathes any sort of defiance, and not only would I likely be killed for such insolence, he'd make one of the others do such a hideous thing. I couldn't let him do that to them--Xander always stands so strong, but his heart was so utterly broken by her betrayal; Leo always puts on such a calm face, but he'd be devastated, and Elise--she doesn't even know how to fight. He's never cared, I knew that, but this--this was--
[...She laughs, just a bit? It's. Not happy, not at all.]
And the worst part of it all? I couldn't even best her, at the end of it all. My retainers, one of her own former retainers, and I...we ambushed her band at sea. We had all of her boats frozen in place, and we had numbers against them, and she still managed to defeat all of us.
That's...when I arrived here. [...] I was at my sister's mercy, alongside my retainers. The only thing going home would earn me, at this point, is a death by my sister's hands for my own betrayal...or a traitor's death by Father's for failing to follow his orders, one way or another.
Either way, the future there isn't...something I'll be seeing. And my retainers--my retainers were left behind to deal with such a thing, and that's...
[...This. Probably explains a lot about Camilla, honestly. Good lord. She trails off there, really, and she's...not sure what this is gonna say about her, but it's honest, at the very least.]

...I really do look forward to meeting them. Sherry does sound like such a wonderful woman, just from the bits you've told me about her. Knowing that she's keeping you safe too is more than a few points in my book as well. And as for Chris...well, I'll remain civil, if we only have to deal with him for so long. But if he says anything rotten to you, do know that I'll knock him flat on his rear, if you'd like me to.

As for our Pokemon...I'd like that. We'll need to find someone who can take care of them for a time, and I'm sure they're going to miss us something terrible...but it is for the best. Their safety will be assured this way.

[Camilla's smile is a little worried, but she just kind of adjusts herself a bit so she's looking up at him, calm and resolute.]
You're my family, Jake. Blood ties or not, it doesn't matter; I'm not about to leave you alone. Family sticks together through thick and thin, no matter what the world puts them up against. And you know as well as anyone that I put a lot of value in those I consider my family.
I'd consider it a terrible sin as a big sister, to leave you alone after all that's been said and done. So, if you will allow me...I will continue be there for you, my dear brother.
