⚔ // stress in solitude
[Once Saturn had left, Ignis took a slow breath to steady himself before standing and speaking again.]
I think we have a fair amount of things to discuss, after that. But we'll also need to rest and recover here; We may be able to take it at Saturn's word that he won't alert Cyrus to us, but overstaying our welcome by more than a couple of days is unwise--that means we need to take advantage of this as much as we can.
[Strategy was easier. The words came naturally, and he was able to hold focus.]
If anyone needs me or wishes to assist, I'll be in the kitchen. I'm aware we just ate, but I presume we'll all be more comfortable if one of our own makes breakfast in the morning.

[...damn thinking of it her Pokemon doesn’t have feet either does it...]
I met a man in the cabin on the beach who said that he used to be able to read Pokémon’s feelings by looking at their footprints. Since some of our Pokémon have been expressing themselves a bit more, I’ve been wondering if there’s any merit to it... well, that I could detect, anyway.

... You could attempt it with my Lickitung?
[ It has.. feet... unlike Miphanus behind her here. ]

[He opens the bottle of ink, then!]
I've been interested in trying it with the ones we started out with since those have been the ones showing anything resembling emotion so far, but it might be worth comparing footprints across time in case the ones we caught later start waking up a bit.

Well, regardless, would you still like to try it with your Lickitung? Like I said, I'm interested in getting some examples of, ah, nothing to see how it might compare. Perhaps as our Pokemon start reawakening to their emotions, we can compare footprints across time.

[ A nod! And she uses the ball to send out...
The Lickitung. It's big and dopey looking, with blank eyes but somehow it seems still to hunger... ]

...he's going to keep the ink bottle out of the reach of the Lickitung's tongue, of course.]

but it - could eat it?
...
... Okay it'll step on there . ]

Alright. Stay there for a second... and you can step off now.

Blankly.
Looking at Kayneth, as if assessing if he is food. Is there other food? What else is food? ]

This is why he kept some of those berries. He just kind of... pulls it out and tries to hold it to direct the weird tongue lizard off the piece of paper...]

Her tongue that can stretch for seven feet. ]

HE IS TRYING TO WALK BACKWARDS VERY QUICKLY, IT WAS LESS THAN SEVEN FEET BUT oh god oh god what if that tongue gets on his hand]
no subject
Well Kayneth offered the berries, so Zelda just sort of laughs as the tongue indeed, goes or his hand. To slober it. To get the berries. To hopefully not also take off and eat his glove. ]

INTERNAL SHRIEKING TIME TO JUST LET GO OF THE BERRIES OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD]
no subject
Might've gotten some spit though? But sluuuuurrrppp ]

... And in so doing, it steps off the paper, finally. Chewing on the berries. ]
no subject
You could've done that the whole time!?
no subject
[ But maybe. ]
