I think we have a fair amount of things to discuss, after that. But we'll also need to rest and recover here; We may be able to take it at Saturn's word that he won't alert Cyrus to us, but overstaying our welcome by more than a couple of days is unwise--that means we need to take advantage of this as much as we can.

It's. It's hard for her eyes not to just light up as Jake goes on his tirade, because she thought she was the only one in the room that felt like this was a huge goddamn leap. The fact that they were sympathizing with an enemy was bad enough, but the fact that he had the gall to come at them with such a sob story? And they just ate it up?

Honestly, it's disgusting, isn't it? That all he apparently has to do is present some sort of sob story to the lot of us, and suddenly he has more than half of this group's sympathy! Watching that whole ordeal makes one want to scream! He can be as messed up and miss his darling partner and have regrets about his job as much as he wants; he's still our enemy, first and foremost, and an aforementioned world ender who did so of his own will.
Honestly! I can't even begin to thank you for coming to me with this; I thought I was the only one who felt such a way. They're going far too soft on such a hideous creature like him, and terrible cretin that he is, he's liable to leverage it against them. It's as if they've shoved it under a rug!

Oh, they absolutely will. Gods forbid they have it in themselves to stay wary now that he's expressed some measure of humanity. They're just going to excuse him for it, and spend our time on the battlefield trying to talk him down from a fight!

I get that it isn't an easy thing - that he's got some serious problems or whatever and he probably needs at least ten years of therapy to deprogram him from whatever the fuck Cyrus did to him, and that's...I don't know, tragic or something. I guess. Point is that he's fucked up and I get that.
But god, it's fucking infuriating watching everyone fall all over themselves trying to take care of him like he isn't our enemy right now and doesn't plan on dicking us over. He's still going to fucking fight us, he said as much himself! He's way more dedicated to his fucking master and his idea of "peace" than he is to us, he isn't our goddamn ally and I don't believe for a fucking minute that he's not going to fuck us all over the second Cyrus tells him to.

Oh, he absolutely is. He's wrapped around that man's finger tighter than a wedding ring that's fused with one's hand. He has absolutely no reason to trust any of us, except for trusting the fact that the lot of us have hearts that will simply bleed for a story like his. All while he and those other commanders are able to construct their own plans of action around it. It's like we're simply puppets at this point. Strung up and walking about on eggshells to avoid having him play tattletail.
I swear to the gods, if another of their like tries this...well, hopefully that's enough to convince everyone they're not going to get anywhere with such actions. If not, I may simply lose my head.

Truth be told, I'm not altogether certain. He said that they're more fond of fieldwork, if I recall correctly, which would certainly imply that they're both more active presences.
I wouldn't be surprised if they viewed us with a little more...explicit derision, than he did. Perhaps aggression as well.

I'm afraid we don't have such an equivalent in Nohrian mythology, but...you may indeed be onto something. Would you be willing to shed some light on what those gods do?

Jupiter's king of the gods - explicitly king, too, not queen, despite the one we're looking at being a woman. Held dominion over the sky and everything under it. Mars is also a guy, but since Commander Jupiter's a woman this one can probably go either way. He's god of war.
So they're looking pretty fun, if the names actually mean anything.
...Saturn is...time, I think? But he's also dealing with a lot of cycles and change and stuff. Renewal.

...Well, this Cyrus certainly knows what he wants out of his commanders...

If these are any indicators, however...Jupiter might hold higher rank on the both of them, or perhaps be their overseer, if you will. She certainly might be the most powerful one.
However, if this Mars stands before us, it will likely be with whatever constitutes an 'army' in this place. Perhaps they're the most aggressive of them.
