Either way, Zelda is back, this time with a bag over her shoulder, which when she comes back to pulls out! Well, it's a Pokeball, but it's one she's managed to pry open and take the lower part of the casing (the white part) off of, revealing something like this maybe. ]

If it's got a battery, they must be very long-lasting. No way to charge it, and I'm not sure if you can transfer a Pokemon from one to the other...

Can you do that, actually? Has anyone tried?

So they're keyed into one ball, and no others will work on them after that?

Point for the individual pocket dimensions, maybe. And we know they can only take thing in that they're wearing or holding...I couldn't convince Cat Janet to leave anything in there, either. Not sure if she can't, or if she didn't really get what I wanted.

Would it be possible that it coverts the Pokemon into a spiritual form? Then they would be unable to take things off their person, because that material would have joined with their form...
