It took intensive practice to reacquaint myself with the job, certainly. But it's not so impossible; most basic prepearation comes down to muscle memory.

Usually, yes. I can hear if something's about to boil over, for example. But in culinary matters, the way a dish smells or tastes is vastly more important than how it looks.

[So even if it looks bad it's okay as long as it tastes good. That's comforting for Kiryu, and for the sauce he's making. He thinks it shouldn't look like watery mud, but it does smell good]

I wouldn't really know. Until recently I didn't have to cook for anyone other than myself, and it's not like I'm picky when it's about food. I was satisfied as long as it was edible.
