Somewhere between. A certain level of monsters - smaller chuchus, bokoblins, lynels... some others - those are natural, or at least ancient enough to Hyrule that they may be thought of as natural. But some others are borne of Calamity Ganon's Malice, or influenced to greater savagery or have their ranks bolstered with superior forms because of it.
