VALOR Your arrival at Lake Valor is met with no fanfare at all, nor are there any obstructions; it seems that Team Galactic has moved on from here, the area devoid of activity and strangely-dressed people for the time being. The area is also largely devoid of water. There's some, in the area that presumably was the lake once; however, it can hardly be called a proper lake now. There's a massive crater in the middle of the clearing that that now-unobstructed path through the woods takes you to; it's refilled some since whatever incident caused it, but the water is only about knee-high at the deepest and generally incapable of impeding you much if you should choose to wade into it. Whatever you choose to do, there's a massive, raised area in the middle of what's left of the lake, a rock formation of some sort; it's capable of being scaled with reasonably little difficulty. An opening is visible in the rock face, large and gaping, leading inwards and downwards into a cavern system of some sort. Your exploration starts now; time to see if there really is nothing worth reporting in the area.

Oh man, oh man, oh man... uh... hello! Hello, rock ghosts. Uh... [She starts flipping through a field guide, looking for "weird rock things."] We come in peace! We're really sorry we woke you up. We're trying to help everyone feel things again. I mean, if... do you miss feeling things? Probably!

[The soul orbs are still blinking. Do they understand what you're saying or are they just doing that? Who knows.]

Uhh... do you feel something now>? Are you the ones who freaked everybody out?

[...Still not much of a response. The lights are still blinking, but otherwise... they aren't doing too much.]

Aww...

[How about... okay, feeding them is working, what about that jar of honey she climbed up a tree to get? She gets it out, unscrews the top, and holds it out.]

You guys probably don't get much to eat here, right?

[azumods]

[The Spiritomb will shrink back from Chelsea and eye her warily. They aren't moving from their spots, but they also aren't sure what to do with the honey either. The lights are still blinking, but otherwise there isn't much of a response.]

Uh... it's food. See? Food.

[She takes some of it with a little travel spork and eats it to demonstrate.]

Man, I thought that always worked with animals...

[They continue to watch her warily, but otherwise there's no response.]

[niceoppai]

[Siiiiiiiigh. She'll put the lid back on, then.]

Okay, you guys don't eat honey. Sure. What do you want that we can give you? Or uh... can you understand or are you just gonna keep on staring?

[azumods]

[The lights keep on blinking; that seems to be the only method of communication they're using.]

Um...

[Okay, let her think on this. Is the blinking similar to Morse code or anything else intelligible?]

[azumods]

[Good question! It's kind of hard to tell, do you want to try something like that?]

[niceoppai]

[She will! The others seem to be making headway, so, uh, gonna tap out K-N-O-W T-H-I-S and look questioningly at one.]

[azumods]

[Perhaps surprisingly, the lights blink out an answer quickly enough.

YES WE DO.]

Whoa! Really! [She scratches her head.] Did someone teach you, or did you guys invent that here?

[azumods]

[That just gets some lights flashing in no real pattern in response.]
