Your arrival at Lake Valor is met with no fanfare at all, nor are there any obstructions; it seems that Team Galactic has moved on from here, the area devoid of activity and strangely-dressed people for the time being.

The area is also largely devoid of water.

There's some, in the area that presumably was the lake once; however, it can hardly be called a proper lake now. There's a massive crater in the middle of the clearing that that now-unobstructed path through the woods takes you to; it's refilled some since whatever incident caused it, but the water is only about knee-high at the deepest and generally incapable of impeding you much if you should choose to wade into it.

Whatever you choose to do, there's a massive, raised area in the middle of what's left of the lake, a rock formation of some sort; it's capable of being scaled with reasonably little difficulty. An opening is visible in the rock face, large and gaping, leading inwards and downwards into a cavern system of some sort.

Your exploration starts now; time to see if there really is nothing worth reporting in the area.

[She smiles at the one that's reacting, and she moves a little closer. She's going to keep on singing to it.]

I thought that was a Pokemon thing.

[I mean she's not putting it to sleep, but still]

[She's doing her best, okay. Okay.]

[The others aren't reacting (though some of them are looking over and possibly judging) but the wiggling one is so here for this? It's absolutely here for the singing. It isn't moving from its spot and if Aya gets too close it'll shy away from her, but otherwise it'll keep wiggling to the beat.]

[A FRIEND??? Aya thinks so. She's going to give it a bigger smile when she catches her breath, then switches gears.

When she starts to sing again, there are lyrics and not just 'la la la'.]

[Ooh, this is a fun song! It takes a little bit for the Spiritomb to catch on to the beat, but once it does it wiggles along to it. The other Spiritomb seem to have no idea what to do with this, but most of them are watching.]

[Aya finishes up a verse, then extends her hand out to her dancing friend.]

I see you like music as much as I do. I love to sing, and I like dancing, too.

[And with that, she'll start up, this time doing a dance.]

[The Spiritomb shrinks back from her hand, though it doesn't stop wiggling. It'll watch her movements and while it can't copy any of them, the lights will start blinking as if its trying to copy the lyrics.]

[That's okay, shy friend. Aya grins and just keeps on going.]

[It'll keep dancing and singing(?) along with her!]

[Aya smiles as she finishes up, then kneels down by her dancing friend.]

I'm sorry we scared you. How are you feeling now?

[It still shrinks back a bit when she gets close, but it's not as wary as it was before.

It has noticed that some of the others are responding by flashing lights in a certain way to indicate "yes" or "no" so after a moment it copies the others.

Yes.

...That isn't really an answer.]

[It's a start, though.]

I'm glad you're feeling better. I love music, and it helps me feel better when I'm sad, or when I'm scared.

Do you want to come with me? We can sing whenever you'd like.

[The lights blink a bit before settling on no. The Spiritomb wiggles a little and shrinks down a bit. Maybe it's apologizing...?]

That's okay! I get it. You don't want to leave home and your friends, right? No need to apologize for that, all right?

[That gets the Spiritomb to settle a little and flash its lights with the answer yes.]

[Aya gives a gentle little nod, then she hears this.]

Is it okay if we try and help your other friend, too? I know it's hurt, and -

[She fishes around in her bag and takes out a potion, setting it down where the Spiritomb can inspect it.]

- we have potions and things that can help. We won't hurt it, I promise.

[The Spiritomb isn't sure what to do with the potion. It studies it carefully for a moment before a tendril of smoke snakes out to pull the potion into its body...?

...And then it promptly spits the potion back out. The lights are blinking in what's probably confusion.]

Here, like this. Ichigo, come help me for a second.

[Aya opens the potion and sprays a little bit on the Audino.]

It works like this.

[That gets some more confused blinking for a moment before it seems to click into place. Yes is the response.]

See? It doesn't hurt at all, and it will help your friend feel better. Would it be all right if we tried?

[The lights blink decisively: yes.

Some of the other Spiritomb aren't so certain, though. They've been watching Aya and her demonstration, but they're still reluctant to move. This one hops out of the way, though! It's not enough for anyone to actually get through, but hey, you're making progress!]

[Aya gives the brightest smile she can.]

Thank you, my friend. Do you mind explaining what's going on to everyone else?

[Yes!

...It probably means that it'll explain, not that it minds. Anyway, it'll communicate with the others, though they still seem pretty unsure about all this.]
