SENDOFF. For a Team Galactic stronghold, Eterna City is a lot more pleasant than it could have been. You've largely been left alone by the locals except for those which you've chosen to engage. and they all still seem rather blank and dead behind the eyes; that said, however, they seem a bit more...lively here than they have elsewhere. They notice you, and perhaps more telling they have vague interest in things - in pursuing things just because they can, and not because they have to. However, your time here is drawing to a close; it's time to leave, to head north to Snowpoint City - and it seems that some of those people that have noticed you have caught wind of your intentions. After all, it's very cold up there; can you really be sure you have enough supplies? Just outside the Pokémon Center the morning you set out, there are large baskets full of supplies waiting for you - warm jackets and blankets, first-aid kits with medication that can be used on humans, and a few potions and the like for your Pokémon as well. There isn't any indication of who left them, just notes reading "For Our Visitors" tacked onto them. There's also something odd along with them - a box with a different note, written in flowery script. "I thought you might appreciate these. - Cynthia" As for what's inside...well, you'll have to open it and see. [OOC: Welcome to the end of Week 5! The box Cynthia left you contains one of your submitted material regains, whichever you decide that one regain to be! [Since he had received a photo of his daughter last time, Kiryu was kind of looking forward to what he would get now. With some luck it'd be something that'd indicate him she's okay.

It wasn't what he expected.

It took him a while to find it in the box of stuff Cynthia left, since it's such a small object. The moment he examined it he knew what it was. It's a pin of the kind you'd put on your lapel, of a logo that seems like it could belong to a company. Kiryu sits inside the Pokemon Center, staring at it with conflicted expression, although with a bit of nostalgia. He doesn't miss the yakuza life, but it was something he was in for a long time. Despite everything, he can't walk away from it just like that, even if he really wants to]

...where did they get this...?

[Well, isn't this sweet? It's nice to have people keep caring for them, in some ways; they have been doing their best to help, and it was...honestly good to see these people beginning to open up and go their own ways.

As it stands, Camilla is gladly beginning to pack up and check her supplies some. It's when she checks out what Cynthia has brought...]

[It's strange, seeing the people of this world start to take initiative, to do things because they want to do things. He replenishes the blankets he loaned to Kayneth; these look warmer than the ones he bought in Veilstone. Maybe it's fleece? He dosen't know; hell if he knows the first thing about fabric. He's just glad for the supplies, especially the potions. He doesn't understand the first thing about Pokemon battles, and wants nothing to do with them, but if one of them gets injured...

It's not until he gets to the box Cynthia left that he reacts at all, because inside, the item that is clearly for him is, well...

People from Earth, how good are you at being able to recognize historical military uniforms?

The uniform is noticeably too small for him, but he holds it carefully all the same, looking like he doesn't know what to think.]

[ Zelda is, once more, honestly a little overwhelmed by the show of support from just random people here in the town (presumably). She had been wondering about the hike up to Snowpoint and had been getting her own supplies in order as best she was able, but ... well, if it was to be as harsh as Hebra there wasn't anything she'd collected which felt capable of it.

Still, she's gathering these supplies provided here into her backpack, up to and including the one from Cynthia, which sees her smile. It's this outfit, which she'll change into either when they leave or once they hit the actual cold depending on how chilly it is. Feel free to comment on it as she pulls it out and smiles for it.

But that said, though it's minor in comparison, she too has a thing for when they set out!! Namely, she has about eight blue scarves. She made them herself from some fabric she was able to get from a woman in town, and has spent a fair bit of a last two days fiddling with sewing them into being between doing stuff with her Pokémon. So. uh. ]

I wasn't able to make enough for everyone in time, but if you would want an extra scarf I did... prepare some.

Wow...neh, guys, do you want anything?

[Sena won't say no to a few potions and the like, and Monta gleefully picks up a Qualot berry to chow down on. Vee, on the other hand, looks doubtfully at a Pecha berry, seemingly wondering if this one is as fake as the accessory she's wearing now - although she ends up biting into it at the end. Nin still stays on his shoulder, though, so Sena helpfully passes up a Mago berry to her once it's obvious that she won't come down.

He can't help but wonder out loud when he sees the note from Cynthia.]

Again...how did she get these...?

[It's not hard to see which one is for Sena, after all. The item is small, oblong, fits in his hand and has a rough texture...

Football. It's a football. Of all the things...]

Hah...neh, Monta! Catch!

[Even though he interrupts the snack session without warning, and with such a wobbly, fluffy looking pass, the monkey's easily able to jump up and catch it.]

Aha ha... [Such a small thing...how is that even able to lift his spirits? He's not sure. But he's not ungrateful, that's for sure.]

[Chelsea digs through the set until she finds... well, it looks pretty normal. It's a small black address book, and as she flips through the well-worn pages, she smiles and laughs.]

Heh, it's all my contacts! Wonder how these guys are doing?

Yeah, she must have... [But really, he wonders...] Well, I guess for my training, at least now I don't have to throw sticks...

[ at first, keith is wary of the provisions. warm clothes, first-aid, potions. it seems too good to be true, coming from an unknown source, and he stands back; then everyone else gets to taking things out of the basket. keith still looks suspicious of it, because why on earth would someone just send them all of this without leaving a name? he doesn't get it. it just feels like the perfect setup for some kind of trap--at least for him.

he waits before he takes anything because he's being paranoid. eventually, though, he does take a jacket, a first-aid kit, and some potions.

it's not until he sees his gift from cynthia when his eyes go wide. ]

[ but there's something off about it. it doesn't feel the same when he holds it. he inspects it because it feels lighter than usual. and then he realizes that it's plastic. fake. it's like a toy that someone would find in a toy store.

[ ...Now, Ventus sort of has been expecting people to be pretty happy about this sort of deal -- receiving supplies and then the gift from Cynthia -- but that's probably because he's always been optimistic. And kind of naive, admittedly.

That said, hearing Keith ask that in such a tone catches his attention, so he'll just look over... ]

Honestly, he's still a little suspicious given the presence of a Galactic building, but... they're aggressively nonviolent in terms of what they say, so it's probably not got a bomb in it. He's kind of happy he doesn't actually have to spend the day picking out winter clothes, since he finally has a little money.

But ah, Cynthia's gift? Now, there's something special. He has to wonder where she got this, especially when he opens it to find...]

[Presents from Cynthia? What a nice surprise! Aya is going to make sure she has good shoes and a warm jacket, for sure, and plenty of supplies for her Pokemon. Seeing snow is always exciting for her.

[So someone may actually need to fetch Rin in the morning and let her know it's time to go, and for once it's not even because she's sleeping in. On the contrary—she got up at sunrise, and after a few hours of hard work, the young mage is just finishing repairs on the fence that she and her new Rotom broke earlier in the week.

She doesn't think the man who owns the house saw her working... Honestly, she prefers it that way. This is the best way she knows of to apologize to him, and she wants to finish it up before they go. If she hurries, she knows she can do it before they have to leave!

Whenever she finishes or someone does come to collect her, though, she'll go gather all the items left for them. The medicine in particular makes her light up, knowing who it must have come from. That was so kind of the shopkeeper. Rin's going to miss chatting with her. As for the present Cynthia left her...]

I wonder... [Rin holds the emerald she found up to the sky, watching it glitter in the sun. With a cluck of her tongue, she lowers it back down to admire at chest level.] Well, it doesn't matter. Even if it's one of mine, it won't work here.

[Maybe she can sell it? She could probably get a pretty penny for it...

It's my uniform. From the War. I don't know how Cynthia got hold of it-- this was destroyed decades ago. Hell, I didn't have it with me for most of the war. Howard made me a new one.

[He supposes it could be a general uniform, but it's not like anyone else would have been fighting a war in 1942 around here.]
