[It's not easy finding a space in town that doesn't have slugfests in every corner. But Sena eventually manages to find a small enough clearing to have Monta burn away a small rectangle's worth of snow roughly fifty yards long. He's got his football with him this time, so it looks like he's doing more of his usual pass route training. But...]
Okay, so...Monta, you've kinda got an advantage over both Vee and Nin, so... [He can't help it - with his evolution, he's not only larger and faster than the other two, but he enjoys a significant type advantage as well. Sena taps his chin, pensive.]
I'm gonna have you go up against Vee and Nin instead of you trying to catch this. Instead, you're gonna try and do what you can to block them from getting the ball, okay? Vee, Nin, I know you guys have memorized the routes...so I'm going to let you guys pick what to run when I throw this, okay?
[All three Pokemon nod at him, and Monta runs to the other end of the clearing at Sena's direction. His throwing leaves a lot to be desired, but it's enough to provide a challenge to the small Vee and Nin, and Monta's far enough away that he can't always intercept his throws. So their training session seems to be productive.
Unfortunately, Sena seems to have set up his miniature football field on some kind of border between the two slug parties, because the "game" has attracted some kind of audience. Sena gets more nervous as the field becomes increasingly blue on one side and pink on the other, the slugs balefully glaring at each other from across the field.
Until one of the blue slugs blasts a Water Pulse and manages to hit Sena's ball midair, sending said football careening into a pink one. This is apparently a declaration of war - the pink ones all send the football rocketing back, and before long an all out slugfest has started, with poor Sena in the middle of it.]
Wait, wait, wait! Gah!
[At least Monta and Vee have started firing their own attacks back at the Shellos, but he's not sure how much this is actually helping.]
