Week 8.

WEEK 8 Snowpoint City remains as cold and unforgiving as ever, through no fault of its residents. The city itself doesn't seem to see much change in the passing days; there's something you'll all become rather aware of on Sunday as the day goes on, and after so long with no incidents along those lines it's likely an unpleasant thing to deal with. There's also the fact that the changes to the world seem to be slowing; though the one alteration that's immediately obvious is a major one, it seems that things may be beginning to stagnate again. Will there be a slip back into apathy again, if this continues? Or will the changes you've affected already continue to hold? Only time will tell, really. That doesn't mean that nothing has changed, however - thankfully enough, the slugs seem to be settling. Or...well, more accurately, once in a while they stop huffing at each other long enough to drive up piles of snow with their heads and stare at them like they're trying to work out what they're attempting to create, but at least it's a collaborative effort. Are they attempting diplomacy? It's difficult to tell; after all, they are just slugs. But at least there seems to be a little less open hostility. Improvement...? Perhaps. The local ghost Pokémon also seem to have taken an interest in you lately, though precisely...how is a little mixed. They don't seem overly mischievous or malicious - they seem about as odd as the rest of the wild Pokémon in the region - but they do seem more inherently trusting of you and your traveling group. They've taken to following you from time to time, and taking a general vague interest in what you're doing. So that's...new. ...It might be what Michael saw earlier. Uh...

[ he looks to the other two and. starts moving, very slowly so as to not startle it, to try and get a glimpse of what that something might be. ]

[So much rustling around; eventually you might catch a glimpse of blue fur and big, dark eyes.

Anyone who's spent time around Ari or saw his talk with Jupiter will likely recognize the species, actually.]

[ oh! it's a small friend. keith wants to reach out and try to interact with it, but this...giant rock god might not be too happy with that. so. he's actually going to try his hand at talking to it. ]

[well fuck this, if Keith doesn’t have to be careful and polite than neither does he.

Michael’s hustling on over.]

[The Glaceon blinks at Keith for a moment before skittering back and bounding upwards, just kind of...scaling the massive Pokémon like it ain't even a thing; when it gets up toward its arms it extends a hand for it, where it lands daintily and just kind of...sits, watching everyone.

...So yes, probably.]

It's a Glaceon, Ignis, like that thing Ari's Eevee turned into.

[He was totally present and paying attention during the Jupiter thing! The whole time!]

An ice-type, yes? Probably the one who's been freezing everything here.

Seems the most likely culprit. I'd bet that's why the doors were frozen over as well. Although that leaves the question of 'why' still an obvious one.

[ it's...kinda cute. and honestly, now that the giant doesn't seem like it's going to be hostile towards them, keith looks up at it again. ]

Are you trying to escape from here?

[Two blinks, so no.]

Sounds more like you've been trying to keep the nightmarish world outside, out?

[It will kind of...shift a little to look at tiny Glaceon friend, who makes a couple of noises.

One blink after that.]

You and your friend--were you affected by what happened to this world?

[One blink, yes.]

Did Team Galactic try to come after you?

[eudaimonikos]

They're the ones whose minions all have that stupid green hair. [Helpful!] You probably would have seen Jupiter? She has red hair, and a Skuntank.

[azumods]

[...So do you know what this thing does in its spare time, apparently? It crafts stuff.

After a brief...conferring with tinyfriend, apparently, consisting of a lot of blinking lights and...general Glaceon noises, tinyfriend will just be using a move of some sort to create a good amount of ice right there in the palm of its hand. And the golem will...proceed to just very carefully make a thing and set it on the ground in front of you.

It's...actually a surprisingly good likeness of a person?]

Uh......yeah, that's her.

[Michael's sort of taken aback by this?]

This is very good, you just made it in like ten seconds. How do you manage the details? [this isn't an important question really, but its hands are so big???]

[azumods]

Shrug.]

Huh.

[Well, it's hecking neat!]

Was she down here trying to capture you? They do that.

[azumods]

[Agitated. Rumbling. Noises.

Not fond of Team Galactic, it looks like.]

[eudaimonikos]

Same.

[Big mood, Regigigas]

They've left town for the moment, but I expect they'll be back. It must have been important to unseal yourselves... [They both look fine, though? Old battle scars aside.] Are you getting enough to eat down here?

[azumods]

[...I mean one of them is god that ostensibly doesn't have a face and the other is...well, it seems fine? Conferring...

[ going a bit off-topic here, but: ]

Do you need our help in protecting you from Galactic?

[azumods]

[That gets a no, but...

Well, using the same sort of crafting thing that it did in front of Michael a couple of seconds ago, it'll very carefully make a second thing using more of Glaceon's ice - this time of a different person entirely.]
