Week 8.
WEEK 8 Snowpoint City remains as cold and unforgiving as ever, through no fault of its residents. The city itself doesn't seem to see much change in the passing days; there's something you'll all become rather aware of on Sunday as the day goes on, and after so long with no incidents along those lines it's likely an unpleasant thing to deal with. There's also the fact that the changes to the world seem to be slowing; though the one alteration that's immediately obvious is a major one, it seems that things may be beginning to stagnate again. Will there be a slip back into apathy again, if this continues? Or will the changes you've affected already continue to hold? Only time will tell, really. That doesn't mean that nothing has changed, however - thankfully enough, the slugs seem to be settling. Or...well, more accurately, once in a while they stop huffing at each other long enough to drive up piles of snow with their heads and stare at them like they're trying to work out what they're attempting to create, but at least it's a collaborative effort. Are they attempting diplomacy? It's difficult to tell; after all, they are just slugs. But at least there seems to be a little less open hostility. Improvement...? Perhaps. The local ghost Pokémon also seem to have taken an interest in you lately, though precisely...how is a little mixed. They don't seem overly mischievous or malicious - they seem about as odd as the rest of the wild Pokémon in the region - but they do seem more inherently trusting of you and your traveling group. They've taken to following you from time to time, and taking a general vague interest in what you're doing. So that's...new. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY [OOC: Welcome to week eight of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

That does sound like something he'd do.

[And despite being, you know, a demon. Last he checked, demons weren't known for being tricksters]

I 'unno, his job sounds a little on the miserable side. I can't blame him.
[Bucky's Catholic upbringing means he was raised thinking demons really liked fucking with people, which is basically the same thing.]

It's better this way. I don't want to imagine how it'd be to have him around if he still was into torturing people.
[Not that Kiryu can't judge. That'd be Michael doing his job, and given what Kiryu does in his job, he can't look down on someone for doing something horrible in their line of work]

Maybe it depends on what side of 'im you get when talking to him.
[Or that Michael surmised, wisely, that talking to the POW about how torture is fun is a bad idea.]
He expressed a lot of regret about it to me.

[He has wondered that for a while: how can humans make a demon change his mind? Especially one that was so eager to overachieve?]
What I don't know is how that went. Did they approach him first, or did he just go mess with a few humans just for fun?
[Both seem likely and are bad ideas. He would ask Michael himself but...hm. Kiryu doesn't want to dig that deep into someone's past if they don't talk about it without being prompted]

Nothing like getting to know a person for you to realize you actually don't want anything terrible to happen to them.
[It honestly doesn't surprise him.]
Michael's made hell sound like a bureaucracy. Dunno if it's always been that way, but I doubt it was entirely his idea. That being said, I doubt befriending humans was part of the job description.

[Boy does Kiryu know that. It's a good thing getting tortured isn't a touchy topic to him]
no subject
[He shrugs.]
I've never asked what Hell's setup is, but I get the feeling it's not the usual fire and brimstone sort you get taught in Sunday school.
