[What an absolute ordeal all of that was.

Today was certainly one hell of a day, that's for sure; they've managed to take care of another Guardian and gain it's trust (or at the very least, something resembling it), they managed to find Candice and manage to...well, maybe not get her back in a state that's altogether wanted, but ensure they managed to get her at least into a place where she could possibly regain herself. It will likely be a process, as such things are, but they've done their best, and they should have no regrets.

The center is definitely going to be a welcome reprieve for all of their suffering, at the very least. The Kompot is certainly more than enough to likely get everyone warmed back up and in a stable condition, along with the copious amount of blankets the locals have provided. They've got the time to rest and get ready for their next adventure.

Rest well, ye merry band of travelers. You've earned it.]

[ About it, about...? Not really, not... at all honestly. Still, to have the young man speak up a little, she looks a bit sheepish, Miphanus floating behind her with more naked concern towards her. In this precise moment here, having put her on the spot? ]

Maybe? Nothing comes to mind.

[ He thinks of something for a bit, and then nods. ]

That's okay that it doesn't, I think I might have an idea. [ ... ] How about...we each share maybe a favorite or good memory we've had? It can be from anytime and about anything.

[ Oh that's sure and idea. She... huh. A good memory that she's had? She sighs a little, brushing back her hair, and putting a smile on her lips. She's not sure about a favorite, but a good one? ]

Alright. ... Alright, that sounds pleasant.

[ventulus]

Then, I think I'll start first.

[ Since that'll make it easier for her to pick something out, maybe. ]

I think my best memory is when I started get to know my best friends back home -- Aqua and Terra, that is. Before I met them, I don't think I had many friends, or really a place to call home because there was a lot I don't remember. But when I was brought to the Land of Departure and met them, I got to know what it was like to have a real home, and real friends.

So, the "before" didn't matter, and what mattered was every day we spent together. Meeting Master Eraqus helped too, but I wouldn't trade my friends for anything in the world.

It's because we met that I even wanted to become a Keyblade Master in the first place.

[ Well that was... huh, some jargon. A Keyblade Master? The land of Departure. A lot he didn't remember? She parses all that out in her mind because, well, she can't help but think of all those things. But that's beside the point here, and Zelda smiles a little for it. ]

I'm glad you were able to find that home then, Ventus.

[ventulus]

Me too.

[ He's smiling a little too, though... ]

Alright, that's my turn. So now it's yours, and I'm totally all ears.

[ ... She's trying hard to think of a pleasant memory that isn't tinged somehow or another by the specter of the past haunting her. Zelda instead hums a little bit and ... ]

When I was young... when I was very young, my mother used to smile and tell me "Zelda, my love, all will be well in the end. You can do anything." Mother's voice war warm and pleasant, and then, I truly did believe her words. They were incredibly reassuring.

[ventulus]

[ D'aww. Ventus thinks that's definitely a nice and sweet memory to talk about. ]

...That sounds really nice, Zelda. And I bet what she said's true too.

[ He really does believe that. Even now, he likes to remain positive about things when he can. ]

[ It wasn't.

That's her first thought, because she thought that for ten long, arduous years as she failed repeatedly. But... it was, in a way. Correct. She did defeat Calamity Ganon, with Link's help. It just... took longer. And so she smiles, very softly. ]

It might be.

[ventulus]

[ They're not dancing for joy or anything but...a little bit of happiness or light in all of what happened helps, he thinks. ]

Mhm...oh and uh, by the way, did you get a chance to eat anything?

[ He just spoke up like that he had to ask. ]

[ Well... ]

Not that much, yet. I had some of that warm juice.

[ Sheepishly. It's not been that long, has it? ]

[ventulus]

[ He looks a little sheepish too. Honestly, Ventus himself doesn't know how long it's been but... you know. It's been a long day. ]

Why don't we grab something to eat? I think that it'd be good if we just had something else too, even if that juice is pretty good.

And something more for Saber and Miphanus... and probably Bosphoramus too. He has certainly earned his keep today.

[ But okay, let's go... get that. She won't - she will try not to focus on the negatives of this moment, or of those thoughts related to her mother. ]

[ventulus]

[ Bosphoramus...that must mean the Onix, he thinks. ]

I'm going to get something for my other friends too -- you know, if Saber doesn't get to the rest before they can.

[ ... His own three, because he's sure they'll want to eat their fill.

And yeah, he is teasing a little, as they make their way to grab some food. Thank goodness for Centers and kitchens. ]

If you're worried, put something spicy in it. she'll learn after the first serving.

[ She isn't any good with spice. ]

[ Okay, he's going to laugh at that.

Ventus thinks he can manage a spicy dish. ]

Did you cook something for her that was spicy before?

When I had been heating everyone up, I made a Tamato Berry Soup, and she couldn't handle it at all. She must really dislike spicy foot, surprisingly.

[ She answers with a sly grin. She...

Honestly isn't 100% still, but she's trying. ]

Well, it's good that she's not the type to really go ahead and eat everything in sight. Or...well, know, I'll just make food that's spicy and some food that's non-spicy.

[ And here they are, in the kitchen!

...Part of him thinks that it's going alright for now, so he's good with that. That said, he's already moving to sort out some ingredients. ]

[ Zelda shakes her head ] That might be giving her too much credit. There's been a few times she's eaten something only to register the discomfort after.

[ But here in the kitchen... yeah, she'll prepare things too. ]
