with knowledge comes great responsibility
[What an absolute ordeal all of that was.
Today was certainly one hell of a day, that's for sure; they've managed to take care of another Guardian and gain it's trust (or at the very least, something resembling it), they managed to find Candice and manage to...well, maybe not get her back in a state that's altogether wanted, but ensure they managed to get her at least into a place where she could possibly regain herself. It will likely be a process, as such things are, but they've done their best, and they should have no regrets.
The center is definitely going to be a welcome reprieve for all of their suffering, at the very least. The Kompot is certainly more than enough to likely get everyone warmed back up and in a stable condition, along with the copious amount of blankets the locals have provided. They've got the time to rest and get ready for their next adventure.
Rest well, ye merry band of travelers. You've earned it.]

I don't believe I told you exactly what this book is when you asked me about it before. It's a diary, belonging to my Blade, Brighid. A Blade is a life form that can only exist so long as they are bonded with another life form, their Driver. They live as long as their Driver does- when the Driver passes away, the Blade returns to an inert state. Unlike other life forms, a Blade can be resurrected time and time again; however, each time they awaken without any memory of their past lives.
[She has to resist the urge to flip through the book's pages.]
Brighid keeps this diary to record her past memories, so that when she reawakens she can remember how she was before. It's... not perfect, but it affords her some peace of mind.
I think perhaps Candice may be able to recover some of her own memories. She may not have a diary, but she surely has relatives, and people who know her. She was the leader of Snowpoint's gym, after all. It certainly doesn't erase what Uxie did, but I hope that could set you at ease, if only a little.

Zelda smiles, softly, perhaps a little forced. ]
I- ... I certainly hope so. I know of another who had their memories shattered and managed to regain them. ... Though he had not been reverted as harshly as her.
