[oh... oh no. don't encourage him. now Duma is squawk-squawk-squawking back, all stupid sentiments along the lines of hi! hi!! hey!! how's it going, how you doing?!?! and Emmeryn has to gently shush him to keep him from waking up everyone in the goddamn camp. He doesn't shut up, but he does quiet down a little. Latona stands on all four of her feet and yawns, twitches her ears, and lies back down.]

My dear noisy friend is Duma, named for an ancient dragon god from the western continent. He was known for guiding his people with sturdy strength.

[She scritches Latona lightly between the ears, and receives no response.]

And this one is Latona. There is a legend about another distant land—the Demon King's influence plagued the continent with monsters until five heroes felled him and sealed him away. It was an arduous battle, not in the least because the Demon King could dominate a person's very soul. Only Saint Latona the sure-hearted had willpower enough to free themselves from the Demon King's control. This name is my prayer for her, that she might find her own heart again soon.

[For now, she's just kind of trying to snooze, though...]
