Week 12.
WEEK 12 For the time being, it would seem that you're back on the routes again. Route 202 is thankfully a simple one - it's straightforward as compared to the winding paths of Eterna Forest, with a clearly marked path surrounded by trees. The usual patches of tall grass are present here, though they can be avoided if you really want to stay clear of them; it's a fair easier walk than most of the routes you've traversed so far, and mercifully it's also a far shorter one. It seems August is being kind to you in that way; there's decidedly less walking required of you, which is likely not all that unwelcome after the frozen hellscape that constituted most of July. As before, the changes to the world are still present, particularly in your own Pokรฉmon, are still occurring but seem to be slowing down a bit as the month continues on; a worrying trend, perhaps, but they haven't stopped altogether. That said, however, there's a change to the route that you may see from time to time - patches of those bright flowers in varying colors will show up along the routes themselves here and there. Perhaps a sign of gratitude from a friend you've helped out... By Tuesday morning you'll find yourself in Sandgem Town. It's very small, similar to Floaroma Town in size, and the town itself smells vividly of the saltwater of the ocean; the main points of interest seem to be the research lab and the beach to the south of town proper, though there are a few locals present as well. Your stay here shouldn't be long; you're actually very close to Lake Verity, and it won't take you long to reach it given how relatively simple and straightforward the routes here are. Thursday morning will see you on Route 201 - it's just as easy a walk as the previous route, if not easier, and if all goes well you should be able to find the lakefront by Friday evening... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES / NEAR WATER SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY [OOC: Welcome to week ten of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

Y-Yes! There's nothing wrong with them!

...The sole problem is that Arion is hot tempered as hell, and that sure sounded like a challenge.]
Oh, so you're just gonna, like, come and try to tell me what to do?! Not happening, buggy! I'll crush you instead if you don't buzz off, dumb-dumb!
no subject
I'm not telling you what to do! Come on, calm down! You're making this more of a mess than it should be!
[Maaaaybe he should step back, he's starting to think]
no subject
[No sooner after Arion shouts that, he starts to rush at Bito and jump up to try and bite him. You wanna play this game buddy, he'll play this game!!]

...Oh, that is not at all what he was expecting, hang on--he's pretty effectively scooped up by the Heracross and just. Tries to wiggle his stupid little limbs to try and get free.]
LET ME GO! If you don't like, let me go right now, I'm telling my human on you!
[yes because "I'M TELLING MOM" is such an intimidating statement]
no subject
[Bito doesn't remember the names of most of the other humans, just of those he has seen often, so he doesn't have many references. Camilla, though, she's easily remembered. He remembers Arion being with her. Oh.
Before he can even let Arion down onto the ground Kiryu appears in scene, seeing his Heracross holding Camilla's Deino up in the air with his horn]
...tell me there's an explanation for this, Bito.
no subject
[...oh no.
Oh no, Arion did not account for the local Intimidating Man to show up. Arion at least recognizes Kiryu's voice as one Camilla talks to sometimes, but even still, this is definitely a bad idea. He's not as scary sounding as Camilla can be, but...
Well, Arion decides to flail in Bito's horn. Help him, man, he's totally innocent here! Totally!!]

Bito, like the rest of the team, respects Kiryu a lot and doesn't want to disappoint him, especially not after the incident with the Combee hives at Floaroma. He's just unlucky enough to be a troublemaker despite his careful nature. Better explain!]
This isn't what it looks like! I came here for a bite and he was stomping on the flowers so I asked him what was so bad about flowers, and then he--it was a lot of yelling! I just--
[It's a hasty explanation, but it's concise and correct -- if Kiryu could understand it, that is. All he sees is the giant beetle gesturing a lot, repeating his name species several times, and making rather expressive angry faces when he points at Arion, all while still holding Arion on his horn. It'd be easy to understand if Bito wasn't so flustered, so he just keeps staring at him.
After a moment, Bito drops his arms, giving up]
I can't believe this.
[Down you go, Arion. Rather gently, of course]
no subject
Arion will gladly get off when he gets lowered to the ground, shooting a quick attempt at a glance over.]
Serves you right! Just leave me alone.
[He's gonna trot right off to find another, further flower field now!!]
no subject
I dunno what's the problem here, but let's not do that again.
[And by that he means avoid approaching that Deino again, Bito. Kiryu doesn't really care who started what, it was pretty obvious things weren't exactly civil, so Bito better avoid all contact whatsoever.
Bito, resigned, simply nods. He had just wanted to be friendly! And now he was sure he wasn't going to get any sweet honey tonight. Kiryu gently leads his beetle friend away, not really planning any further scolding -- because he wasn't sure it was warranted.
Thanks a lot, Arion, you flower-hating jerk, haha!]
