Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. [Camilla turns to face Sena, smiling after a moment. That actually does seem to get her interest, at the very least, and he does have a point; it'd be better to train against something in her element.]

You know, you may be onto something, dear. Training her somewhere she might shine will bring out her potential far better...do you have any suggestions, perchance?

Monta here...he knows scratch, too, so I've been using the tires here for target practice and stuff? I stack them in different ways so he has to climb around them and roll them around for target practice... [Those tires are...admittedly, huge. Half of Sena's height. Imagine him lugging those around.]

B-but they could also train against each other too, right? Like those pokemon battles the books keep talking about, but practice?

[And she thought the dragons and wolfskin were interesting creatures. These ones sound absolutely powerful.]

And to think that all we have are the dragons...I certainly wouldn't want to be on the adversarial side of one of them. They sound more powerful than most would be able to comprehend!

It depends. [Rin holds a finger in the air.] If it's real mineral water, then yes and no!

Good mineral water comes from a natural spring, and undergoes minimal to no treatment. The only accepted adjustments are ones that ensure it's safe to drink, basically. Instead, the minerals found in the water are naturally infused: salt and sulfur compounds you'd expect from an underground water source.

It's popular in some countries, though, to just put water in a bottle, carbonate it, and call it mineral water. Even if it's not, it sells better that way.

Honestly, I wouldn't count out dragons! I am certain Naydra could free most of Vah Ruta's water if it were so inclined.

I...kinda was forced into playing for the team. I mean, I was just looking to be the team secretary of the time, but Hiruma had other ideas...

[That memory...is still terrifying, honesty.]

But the more I played, the more I enjoyed it. And now I have teammates that I wouldn't betray for anything, so...even if I had the chance, I probably wouldn't go to the other football team now.

[The players there are club fund sucking jerks, anyway.]

[Camilla listens as he describes his friends, and she can't help but mentally draw comparisons to her own siblings when he talks about them. Terra isn't as dignified as Xander, really, but he seems to have that same pure heart and compassion. Aqua...

She can't help but be reminded of Corrin when he speaks of her, if only in part. She's like Corrin and Leo, really, but it's the parts that remind her of Corrin that almost make her heart hurt the slightest bit. Now, if only her father were something like Eraqus, then she wouldn't feel that mild hint of envy...]

Why, it sounds like the lot of you are as close as siblings yourselves. It's certainly wonderful to hear that they have been with you through thick and thin...those kind of friends are the most beautiful.

...Eraqus sounds like a very good man. I'm glad to hear that you've had such a good...teacher, I would assume?

What on earth? Shouldn't that be taking years, at best? How on earth could they possibly grow so much in such a short passage of time?

Isn't it? I do hope he at the very least continues to tolerate it once he starts actually feeling emotions.

...I might have to modify it a bit if he ever evolves, as the books say Pokemon tend to get bigger once that happens, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Mm... I've never done it myself, but you'd have to add gasses, right? So there's probably a complex set-up to accomplish that, on a wide scale.
