Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. [ He folds his hands and listens as the two mages speak, offering little in the way of reaction to the proposal. When they're done, he nods once—his tone judicious yet amiable. ]

It goes without saying that I am not your overseer—but I am inclined to agree. Were circumstances different, I would have reservations but...I believe we should use all the knowledge at our disposal. To that end I was hoping we could be more open with each other, there is little need for secrecy if we are all allies working for a common goal. As a show of good faith, I don't mind sharing first. I am with the Eight Sacrament as you may have surmised, and my servant is the Red Assassin.

I would presume it is highly unlikely you both have colors...

I hadn't considered that. ... I did think it odd, that every other world seemed to have - [ she almost says rounded ears, stops herself, and then falters, blushing a little ] different traits and understanding than Hyrule, but the thought of different languages had slipped my mind entirely. That is strange.

[ She looks at the Golett and the Beldum. ... ] I wonder, does that ... or rather, do you think it is a language on their parts?

Hm. Well, I think that might... take some time, certainly.

[He ponders it.]

I'm not sure which would be better, honestly. I'm thinking about it from the perspective that it might be a little easier to start with them when they're like this and then deal with any personality quirks as they emerge, if... that's how it's going to go.

My station has nothing to do with it- [ She says, but it's not quite .. it's a little bit petulant, but mostly, her cheeks color some as she corrects, ] It is merely the right thing to do, and so... I would like to see it done.

I would much rather that they presented their personalities ... so I might know if I am in the right to befriend them. I cannot help but feel a little exploitative, even in relation to this one.

[ The Beldum, that is. ]

I remember, a long time ago, someone tellin' me magic was just a word for science people can't understand.

[Maybe it's different here, he's not sure. He's seen his fair share of things that should be impossible as it is, and that was long before he showed up in a completely different world with no memory of how he got there.]

Oh, that's--actually kind of??? Camilla honestly can't help but smile at the self introduction. She can't help but be at least a little bit reminded of Beruka, honestly; this is what she'd be if she tried social interactions.

...Okay no, she'd be a lot worse at this but. It's the principle of it. Camilla hides an amused expression behind her hand before simply chuckling.]

You're unfailingly polite, aren't you? Well, I certainly can't take offense to that--especially when you're so quick to mend matters. It's a pleasure, Rey; since I did not do so as well, I am Camilla. I believe my partners need little introduction.

[It isn't...really said condescendingly, at least? Like, seriously Rey. Shit's endearing.]

[Camilla chuckles, honestly, though it's mostly in jest. The scarf is at least coming along fairly nicely, though; not too thick, but definitely enough to keep Rose's neck stable. She just needs to give it some length...]

Rose is the name of your partner, then? Perhaps it's good that I chose this color, then; it'll match her name splendidly.

Yeah. They definitely understand you and they can follow commands, there's just... nothing behind it.

[It's really creepy?? But hopefully they'll get better...]

[His outstretched hand hovers near her shoulder as he glances around, as if he's prepared to stop her from stripping at any second.]

Ah, there. [He points out a fitting room.] You go in one of the changing rooms in there. They'll have locking doors. And mirrors, that helps.

[He steps aside so Ari can get a look at his Rockruff. She doesn't even remotely care about what's going on, but she's here!!]
