Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. Surely we’d be finding more evidence of there being problems with the setup if they existed, though, given that this seems less like a rewritten universe and more like someone just removed emotions while leaving behind all traces of the previous world.

[...Right, so. She still has her doubts, Shirou, but that setup is just deranged enough it sounds like it could happen. Folding her arms over her belly, she watches the priest closely, but tries to tune down her suspicions.

As for what Kayneth brings up, Rin suspects she can explain some interconnections if need be, but it'd be better to do so after the fact. There's still a lot of missing pieces to go through, on all three sides.]

I'd also appreciate an explanation. It looks like El-Melloi's version of events more closely resembles what I know, so we might as well clear this up first. Afterwards, we can share our own stories.

[Ohhh, that actually seems to get Camilla's interest easily--that sounds like something she might steal for herself, if the way she looks at Altena is any indication.

Of course, when Sena suggests a battle, Camilla's look is right back at him with a surprisingly intrigued, but interested look.]

Well, I don't see why not. Perhaps Altena could learn from Monta. He seems like an experienced little combatant already. As long as they're all fixed up by the time it's over, it should be a good experience for them; I have plenty of items for that purpose.

Of course. To begin, Kirei Kotomine is my step brother—I haven't seen him since Risei's passing. But that aside...

[ His voice is soft and his smile light as he begins speaking, and his speech sounds practiced like he's explained this many times before. ]

In the unlikely event that all of the Master's in the Grail War would decide to work together in unison, there exists a reserve built into the Grail. The stakes then become not seven masters versus each other, but fourteen masters divided into two sides. These exact conditions were met after the Yggdmillennia elected to secede from the Clock Tower with the Greater Grail as the symbol of their worth. The sides were then: the Masters of Black belonging to Yggdmillenia, and the Master's of Red produced by the Clock Tower...and a representative from the Church.

[ He pauses here for any questions the two magi might have, looking between them both warmly. ]

so Emmeryn's quiet for exactly as long as it takes to beckon her Bagon to come sit in her lap, and her voice goes a little softer, but just as calm and certain and always.]

Forgive me, here I've gone and made things melancholy, and over dinner, no less. I'd like to take that as proof that they're still with us, in some small way—but I'd believe that nonetheless.

I don't doubt you. I just think it ever more important to find out what can be done for this world.

Keep an open mind, as much as you're able. We've still ways to go before we find enough answers to turn them into solutions.
