[Emmeryn spends the earliest part of the week floating the idea of getting everyone together at once, less in a way like she's taking a poll and more like this is totally happening so get your thoughts together ahead of time—and Tuesday late in the afternoon she gathers everyone, Lucas and Cynthia included, in the Pokémon Center. Better that they all hear the answers together, she figures; better that Cynthia doesn't have to answer the same question twenty-odd times, is how she presents it to her beforehand, while apologizing for asking her to be at the center of things like that. It all comes together regardless, one way or another.

So! Here we are in the Pokémon Center; maybe it's kind of a tight fit but, y'know, worse has happened. Worse will probably happen again in the future if we're being completely honest with ourselves. Duma, about as useful as ever, stands half-asleep at Emmeryn's feet.]

Thank you so much for agreeing to come see us all like this, Cynthia. We have quite a bit of catching up to do, don't we?

[Well, this has been...productive? It's been productive.

Thank you all for having this discussion with me. I know the past while hasn't been easy on you, and I really am sorry about all the difficulties you've faced. But I am proud of you for what you've accomplished, and the region owes you a lot for what you've done. I know that everyone is grateful; I look forward to the day when they can all tell you that themselves, with smiles on their faces.

I think the next logical step from here is Canalave City. Take your time to rest up, and to enjoy the town and what it has to offer, and I'll talk to my grandmother about granting you permission into the ruins, if you want to see them. We're a little strict about what can be allowed in there, but I think you'll enjoy the experience once you're able to see it for yourselves. After that, I can meet with you in Canalave next week, if that's all right with the rest of you.

[She pauses for a moment; shifts a bit. She seems slightly uncomfortable, but after a moment she smiles a bit and pushes forward anyway.]

I understand fully if you don't, given how things have gone. But would you...prefer that I stay in closer contact with you over the next while? I can't travel with you, but I can try to meet up with you more frequently. If you would prefer that.

It'd beat the vaguely threatening presents.

It's the manner. We'd spontaneously teleported to a new city with no prior warning, and suddenly there's a note and gifts on our doorstep? That's a real stalker move, Cynthia.

I mean, you got a point, but she's right that probably everyone and their Poochyena knows where we are at any given time already. Kinda easy to find us.

I for one would appreciate a bit more clarity going forward. Since we've the same ultimate goal, there's little reason to be working as separately as we have been. Besides that, it's clear a more frequent exchange of information may yet benefit us all.

I still think it's a terrible idea for any of you to even consider facing Cyrus. But I won't argue the point about benefit, of course.

Poor decision or not, I'm afraid it's our choice to make. And I don't think it likely we'll be dissuaded now.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm likely going to accompany Lucas back to Sandgem Town sometime within the next two days, and then I have personal business in Canalave City. But I'll be sure to meet you there.

I think that closer contact could be nothing but helpful for our ends, really. It'd be good to be able to trade information on what we've accomplished and what we have yet to accomplish, considering we now have more leads on what to look for.

Please do not too horribly interrupt your own efforts for our sake. Even so, especially as long as we are working for the same goal from such different angles, I believe it would be a great benefit if we could discuss our progress together more frequently. With the likely chance Cyrus is accelerating his plans, more than preference, I think it would be wise for us to keep some regular contact. So long as it doesn't suddenly become an inconvenience to either party, It should be easier to do so from now on.

Actually, it'll be nice if you stayed around. I think it'll be just a good idea all around, because we can talk about stuff and all of that easier if you're close by.

[ Like if they need anything...or honestly, Ventus doesn't think it's so bad if it can be for some nice conversation too. That could work out as well. ]
