[Yuri's quiet for a moment while he works out how he wants to start.]
...Cyrus kinda reminded me of someone at first. The leader of the Imperial Knights was this guy named Alexei. He was always kind quiet and stoic, the sort of person you tend to respect just because of how they carry themselves. None of us thought there'd be anything wrong with him.
But then he revealed he'd been manipulating things behind the scenes, all so he could raise an ancient weapon from the sea so he could use it to take over. Eliminating strife and warfare and all that? It sounds like something Alexei'd try to do.
So we chased him down and we fought him, but we weren't fast enough. He was able to get the thing to go off, and it tore open a hole in the sky. Turns out it wasn't actually a weapon but a barrier, and the thing it was keeping out was unleashed onto the world.
It's called the Adephagos, and it's going to consume everything. I woke up here right after Zaude - the "weapon" - began to crumble and I fell off it.
[That's technically true! He just didn't mention that he was stabbed before he fell, but whatever, close enough.]
I thought Cyrus would be more like Alexei. He'd end up threatening us and maybe cackling about his plans or something before leaving. I didn't think...
[He's quiet for a moment before shaking his head.]
Anyway, it's not exactly the same. It's just... something that's been eating at me, I guess.
