Week 16.

WEEK 16 The world continues to stagnate. It's an undeniable truth, one that's more or less a constant in your lives; you can see it in the people and the Pokémon both, even after you arrive in Oreburgh City. The same blank stares and behind-the-eyes deadness that Cyrus' new world brought with it are everywhere, difficult to ignore and impossible to escape. However little the people are interested in you, however, they are still present, and with Darkrai and Cresselia having agreed to help you, that has to count for something; with both dream deities and the Lake Guardians, perhaps hope hasn't faded - perhaps spirit can still be restored to the world, as long as there's a world left to restore it to. That isn't to say, however, that the city itself holds nothing for you; there's a fair amount to see here, and a few things to explore if you're so inclined to do so; the mines in particular are open to the south, and extends far beneath the region. Take care not get lost, should you venture in. Well, yes, but you haven't had the ability to. I know I would have probably killed several people by now if I had access to every ability I have back home, but... well, you know.

Come on now, Kayneth! Don't you know that murder is wrong?

[Look at that smile, he would've done the same fucking thing even now. His moral argument for Cyrus, at least, is pretty solid.]

I'm sure I could still kill somebody. Just not the people who actually need killing.

Oh, murder is wrong, but executions? Well, that's still up for debate, even if people generally frown upon the extrajudicial sort.

...and I agree. It's a good thing we don't have any serial killers among us from what I can see, given how easy it would be to go for basically any of the natives at this point.

Be pretty easy to kill each other, too. Lotta sleeping in groups around here.

Well, I usually sleep with my Pokemon in my tent. They're more of a factor than even a guard dog would be, I think.

You've eaten food I've made. But really, the time to do it would have been early on, when nobody really knew each other and none of the Pokemon were useful.

...true, I suppose. We should be glad none of us actually turned out to be serial killers in this version of things, then.

I mean, given that there are infinite outcomes of any given situation, probably?

I don't really worry about the many-worlds hypothesis. Anything else isn't our problem.

Okay, I understand it's infinite and so this question is completely meaningless, but if you had to pick someone to be the serial killer in the most universes...?

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd pick one of us, but we might have had someone mixed in who would have been. Like, say, instead of Aya we got a complete lunatic.

But hear me out - alternate universe where Aya was the serial killer.

My god, we'd never see it coming. That would be terrifying.

You know... it'd be a great idea for a movie or something, honestly. No one would guess her.

Surely that movie has to exist already, though, doesn't it?

Probably. But it'd be a sex thing, everything is with you all. This one is just about Aya being cute and murderous.
