FLOW. The feeling of pressure in here is immense. It's stronger than it was with Darkrai, something you can feel down to your core, something that you couldn't shake off even if you tried; there's nothing to do but power through it. Saturn, for his part, either isn't feeling it at all or is incapable of reacting in any sort of appropriate way even if he could; he simply continues to regard you from across the room, his words hanging heavy in the room. It's a far cry from his behavior during the first month you were here; he was civil then, willing to do you favors in exchange for the chance to talk to you. It's plain that he will be doing no such thing today; it may be difficult to know where to start, really. Especially when your Pokémon don't seem to be doing well - whatever's happening here, they seem reluctant, even unwilling, to fight anything in this room. Perhaps it's not surprising; the energy in the room is likely familiar to them, and it's the sort associated with someone deciding to take their spirit away last time it was angered. Whatever the reason, you're on your own for now; whatever happens is your choice, and yours alone.

[ So Dialga is here. That proves the pressure, that confirms his earlier statement. She hums at that, biting her lip a moment before continuing on, ]

Time has been distorted entirely, but this city has had the worst we've seen.

It's come to a standstill for the rest of the region, I've noticed. And Palkia isn't particularly cooperative either.

It's nothing that we can't resolve. It's just infinitely more tedious on my part to do it, since we don't have the Lake Guardians anymore.

You lot haven't harmed Dialga, have you?

[She's certain they have considering the state the Lake Guardians were in when they found them.]

I doubt we could harm Dialga even if we wanted to.

[Gods are kind of sturdy as shit.]

It certainly doesn't seem pleased at the moment.

[vague hand gestures at all this temporal bullshit]

They tend to not like human interference very much. There's a difference between this and harming it - if it wanted me dead, I would be dead.

[ Because they don't have the lake-- wait, wait, maybe her assumption was a little bit off? ]

Then do you not have the red chain?

Someone's been doing homework, I see. We do, though, yes.

[ Then what's the difficulty? They had assumed... based on the notes that- well no, maybe it was possible that it wasn't absolute? And that being the case- that either means the red chain isn't as effective as they thought and they also used the lake guardians' natural abilities to pacify the greater gods or...

No, that's not likely, right? Maybe?

Zelda puts a hand to her chin, mulling it over, and her conclusion she can't help but come to is simple - the red chain must not be absolute, yes? Especially if they still have it. But if the lake guardians are necessary, then perhaps - is it possible that the chain might break, and they've needed to replace it? After all, Cyrus had brute forced the world many times, like he said, perhaps they simply pursued the same strategies again and again?

It's just a theory, both possibilities - or even one she's not yet thought of - are possible. Either way, it reconnects something and it also presents another possibility... namely, that means that, as the notes suggests, no one has captured Dialga. And more to the point, if the notes are to be believed that is possible. ... Looking at what Pokémon are in the room, not a viable option, necessarily, but it is possible. She continues that pensive pose, sort of concentrating on that and muttering a bit to herself. ]

And it is through that you found some sense of belonging?

[ Just based on these other conversations. ]

Well, it's certainly nice.

I want to do what I can for Master Cyrus. He's important to me.

I do wonder if all of this is best for him, either, truth told.

Why wouldn't it be?

It's repetitious, hurtful, and isolating. It's indulging in some dark impulse which only serves to make him the world's... to make him their antagonistic force, really. It can't be in his best interests.
