TEST 8.
FLOW. The feeling of pressure in here is immense. It's stronger than it was with Darkrai, something you can feel down to your core, something that you couldn't shake off even if you tried; there's nothing to do but power through it. Saturn, for his part, either isn't feeling it at all or is incapable of reacting in any sort of appropriate way even if he could; he simply continues to regard you from across the room, his words hanging heavy in the room. It's a far cry from his behavior during the first month you were here; he was civil then, willing to do you favors in exchange for the chance to talk to you. It's plain that he will be doing no such thing today; it may be difficult to know where to start, really. Especially when your Pokémon don't seem to be doing well - whatever's happening here, they seem reluctant, even unwilling, to fight anything in this room. Perhaps it's not surprising; the energy in the room is likely familiar to them, and it's the sort associated with someone deciding to take their spirit away last time it was angered. Whatever the reason, you're on your own for now; whatever happens is your choice, and yours alone. |

[The confrontation dropped from Ignis’ voice, replaced with honest sympathy.]
You’re an anchor, aren’t you?

I carry part of the Red Chain within me. It's how some of my imperfections were permanently removed, and now I can summon Dialga into this world as Master Cyrus requires.

Zelda.
That chain...has any of your research indicated it can be broken?

[ They were able to crack the crystals on the guardians in the first place, so, maybe. ]

[ She doesn't, and behind Miphanus like this - she's prepared to fight, but the fact is she's also not sure what their best practice for the fight is. If there even is one, and it's not better to retreat. Even so, as she looks at Dialga...
God that poor thing. ]
The practice was to ensure they could use the full power of the creature.

We'll just...have to find a way! Somehow!
[Some....somehow.......]

[ Mmmmmmmm ]

[Easier said than done, though. It's the god of time, and also Saturn]

Restraint or retreat.
[ A beat, and looking at dialga... ]
...Technically, it could be captured. Apparently.

So that’s why their gems were so damaged...keep that in mind, if we’ve no other course of action. I trust a god to have the strength to recover—it’s Saturn’s safety I fear for.

... Retreat, combat, or... We must either shatter the chain, defeat Dialga, leave, or - ... or try to appeal to Dialga over Saturn.
no subject
[Like, at this point, Camilla's just going to take orders. They're all options, but how we even begin to go about them is a great question.]
no subject
[You of all people know why.]
It’s worked so far. We just...at least have to make the attempt.
no subject
...I know well you can't, for better or for worse. If you believe such a thing will work, then...
At your command, Ignis.
[She doesn't sound confident or entirely at ease, but orders. Orders, she can follow.]

[She's spent her entire time here dragging on Saturn for not being as evil as he could be and being angry at the state of his everything, but she's at least agreed with Chelsea's assessment.
You care about this idiot. She may as well try to see you all through to getting him out alive.]
no subject
[ But there's another factor, she realizes - the Creator, Arceus, Arceus is no doubted chained as well. If Dialga must obey Arceus's commands, then it might be pointless anyway. Right? ]
no subject
...If it's not, then perhaps there is some merit to it. It's worth a try.
no subject
... So she's going to join in down there. ]
