Week 19.
WEEK 19 Despite the setback early Sunday morning, the physical trip to Solaceon Town is an easy one; it isn't a large distance from Hearthome City, though the town itself is so small it's a little blink-and-you'll-miss it. It's nice and temperate, though, with the ruins off to the east of the city and the houses of the townspeople nestled among the trees and fields; it's somewhat similar to Floaroma Town in feeling, and that's only amplified by the flowers near the daycare. The townspeople don't seem to know how they got there; they simply bloomed one day, bright patches of bright pink Gracideas along the fence. It's a reminder, perhaps, that you aren't alone, and your work isn't in vain. It seems the world is slowly starting to get back on its feet, too; it's a slow process, but there are changes you can see here and there, however slight. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but there's a lot that's behind you now, too; maybe it's just a matter of continuing to try. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week nineteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

Inside the building, however, Camilla can be found doing just about anything; she can be found assisting in feeding the Pokemon, where she'll be doing that very happily, or perhaps even where the few eggs are, alongside Melady, as she seems to be wrapping them in blanket swaddles. Melady seems to be taking to knitting even more, considering that they're her handiwork; they're a little lumpy and some of the stitches were definitely lost, but they're still very serviceable little things that Camilla wraps around the eggs and sets them back warmly. She'll even be found outside sometimes, attempting to encourage the Pokemon to play with her own partners, with...varying degrees of success. It's something, though, and Camilla looks utterly ecstatic.
It's the evening, however, that sees Camilla outside of town; she still needs to train her dear partners after all, and even if they've had fun playing, they needed to get serious. Of course, this also sees a very interesting thing happen, after Arion bests Altena in a fight; he starts to glow.]
Oh, Arion! You're evolving?!
[Camilla and the rest of her team shield their eyes as he does, Camilla undoubtedly excited to see what becomes of her sweet partner; once the light settles, what Camilla sees is what she believes to be a marvelous creature. She's not entirely sure if he's two different creatures now or not, but Camilla practically barrels over to Arion and lavishes both heads with pettings.]
Oh, sweetheart, you look wonderful! I couldn't be more proud of you for coming this--
[Of course, therein lies the problem. One of those heads practically melts at the praise, rubbing his head against Camilla's hand easily and eating it all up. The other...isn't so adjusted, and lashes out to bite Camilla, causing her to jump back.]
--Arion, no! No biting! I thought I taught you better than this!
[The head that was lavishing in the pets seems to take offense, looking to the other head and practically screaming at it. The other just...screams back, before attempting to ram Camilla down. She thankfully dodges in time, but...]
What on earth is the matter, dear? Did something happen?!
[It doesn't get an answer, except for one of the heads trying to bite at the more violent one while the other just tries to bite on back and practically shrieks in the process. Camilla herself tries to get between them, as futile of a task as it may be; she might. Need a little bit of help here, dear gods.]
Daycare
[Michael appears to be scrutinizing the whole...egg wrap thing. This looks like a lot of effort...]
no subject
Oh, this? [Camilla's expression suddenly gets utterly enthusiastic.] We're making wonderfully warm little swaddles for these eggs! They deserve to have something entirely their own when they finally hatch--it'll be a nice little baby blankie for them!
[...She has taken on a baby-talking tone, dear god she is getting way too into this.]
These precious darlings only deserve the very best, after all!
no subject
You know they might just be sludge monsters?
no subject
Michael, even sludge monsters need some sort of love! They don't get to choose what they're born as.
no subject
What I'm saying is that sludge monsters can't wear baby blankies. They'd ruin them.
no subject
Well, there should be something done for them. The poor darlings do need some sort of affection...it would be quite rude to simply leave them with nothing.
[siiiighs]
Do you have any suggestions, then?
no subject
No. I mean, I just put Lena's egg in my bag and didn't do anything with it. And she's fine!
no subject
[Hmm...]
Or attempted. But I suppose we'll know for sure if it was simply Azelf's intervention, if none of this properly works.
no subject
[He picks up an egg, lifting it to the light as if trying to see through it. Then he sort of holds it to his ear for a second.]
I don't get these. If they just sat in there for longer than they were supposed to, wouldn't they die?
no subject
[Camilla is going to take a look at said egg, contemplating it a bit.]
Perhaps there's something in the shell that prevents such a thing from happening? One of the gods blessings, or something like that.
no subject
[They could crack one open and have a look. But that doesn't seem like an idea that would go over well.]
Do we know if the Pokemon are still breeding? Or are these just left over? Gotta say, that seems like way more physical activity than they could manage right now.

Camilla? Oh, goodnessโLatona, dearest...
[yeah yeah Latona knows, so she marches on over to try to elbow her way into this situation and help Camilla pull the two heads apart. They might understand her exasperated rumbling noise as,] It's always something around here, [but at least Emmeryn has trained her well in the art of Mom Friending...]
no subject
Oh, thank the gods for you, Emmeryn. I don't know what's gotten into him!
[Latona will be getting a slightly apologetic look from Camilla, while the two heads are separated by the big ol' Nidoqueen. The one to Latona's right is a little more subdued, really, and seems more irritated than anything. The other...]
HELLO? IS THIS A FRIEND?
[...The other pretty much screams as he talks, trying to take a bite before getting yapped at by the first head.]
Like, oh my god! Will you shut up, dumb-dumb?!
BUT I CAN'T TELL IF IT IS A FRIEND UNLESS I BITE. [:(]
We're already in trouble, dumb-dumb, just shut up!
no subject
Think nothing of it, I am happy to help. Latona, there will be many treats for you for this, I promise... Oh, my, has Arion evolved?
[...]
Does he have a second head?
[what
Duma, on the other hand, speaks fluent dumb-dumb. As he catches up and hears this conversation, he waddles on ahead over because the only lesson he has ever learned from his trainer is about getting involved in things.]
That IS my friend, don't bite her! You can tell 'cause I said so!
[fuckin thanks duma]
no subject
[HER DARLING SON IS A LATE BLOOMER BUT EVEN SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHY HE'S DECIDED TO JUST. GROW A SECOND HEAD. WHAT THE FUCK.
Either way, Arion seems to kind of regard Duma with some derision. The other head, on the other hand? Well, he does his best to try and look at Duma, even if he's a little ways off, but he sounds happy?]
HELLO! I WILL NOT BITE YOUR FRIEND! YOU ARE A FRIEND AS WELL, THEN?
[one of these days he'll learn to use his inside voice when talking, today is not that day]
no subject
[??? she's very proud of Arion really she is but the fuck is this
Duma, if anything, appreciates the outdoor voice! His entire self is stuck inside this fuckoff sturdy shell, this is the first conversation at a normal volume he's had since evolving.]
Yeah! I'm Duma! I'm a friend, too! I can't bite things to figure out if they're friends right now so I have to find better ways than that.
[Latona shoots a long-suffering, sympathetic look in the reasonable head's direction.]
no subject
[gods help her, emmeryn, he's already a shithead and now he's twice the shithead
The less reasonable head seems to be pleased with that, at the very least. Duma seems like a cool friend, even if he can't see him.]
I AM NOT SURE IF THERE ARE BETTER WAYS. I CANNOT SEE, SO I HAVE TO GET AN IDEA IN OTHER WAYS! BUT YOU SEEM VERY COOL, FRIEND! I DO NOT HAVE A COOL NAME YET, BUT YOURS IS COOL, DUMA!
[if the reasonable head could see shit he'd be pleased with that, latona. good gods the second evolution cannot come sooner]
no subject
[she understands. holy shit does she understand.
In the interim, Latona...slooowly backs off, since it seems like Duma has the situation under control (a sentiment she will never feel again), but she's ready to pounce as necessary. Duma continues having the time of his life.]
Thanks! My mom picked it out for me. [WITHOUT A HINT OF IRONY] Is it a problem if you can't see? Can I see for you? [He hops up and down in place a little, blithe to the way all two hundred fucking fifty pounds of him shakes the ground immediately around him.] I can see the things you can't see and you can bite the things I can't bite!
[great.
If Emmeryn could understand this conversation she might not look so charmed.]
They seem to be making such fabulous friends, though.
no subject
[Travant says that while nodding confidently. If she gave him such a cool name, she must be super cool. That's his theory, and he's sticking to it.
...Arion is just kind of. Groaning audibly at this point, while those two talk. This may have been a mistake.]
I THINK THIS WILL WORK OUT PERFECTLY! I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO BITE ANYTHING THAT STANDS IN YOUR WAY! HENCEFORTH, WE ARE...FRIENDS!
[...Honestly, Camilla would be in the same spot. But holy shit, this is actually cute???]
I'm quite surprised, really...maybe that's all the other head really needed, hm? Someone to call his friend. [Camilla chuckles a bit.] Looks like we may need to set up some playdates, Emmeryn!
outside of town
[he can't help but notice all that going down, honestly...]
Oh, no. I was wondering when one of our Pokemon was going to grow another head and we'd have to deal with the consequences.
no subject
[GOD SHE WOULD JUST GESTURE AT EVERYTHING ARION IS CURRENTLY BEING IF SHE WEREN'T TRYING TO GET THEM TO CALM DOWN]
Is it simply the fact that he has another head that vexes him so?!
no subject
Which, well... might not be ideal, depending on your personality.
no subject
Considering Arion's personality was already plenty abrasive, I'm highly concerned for what that twin of his has managed to gain.
[Long. Suffering. Sigh.]
That does make sense, I suppose. And I imagine neither of these two are exactly very fond of sharing space...dear merciful gods, please let this be their only evolution.
no subject
Maybe if there is a third one it will mediate between the other two and things will calm down overall.
[he's trying to say that with a straight face, but......]
No, that's unlikely. I'm going to hope that's the case for you, too.
