Week 2.

WEEK 2. The new week begins with new surroundings. The city you've been growing accustomed to over the past week is now well behind you as you set out on your journey proper; the terrain still seems rocky and steep here as you move downhill and to the south, dotted here and there with small ponds to the east and rocky outcroppings that you can climb on to the west. There are also large expanses of tall grass here, and the entire route is flanked with tall trees leading off into the forest a short ways. You're more than welcome to explore; just don't stray too far from the group - you wouldn't want to be left behind out here, for any reason. Wild Pokémon are abundant here, as anyone venturing into the tall grass will discover; they aren't inclined to attack you, however, simply watching with dull, dead eyes as you stumble through the area they've come to call home. The trip is difficult, and it's a lot of walking, but it's not unmanageable; fortunately enough, the route you're on should lead you directly to Valor Lakefront, assuming there are no complications along the way. From Thursday and beyond, the route takes a sharp turn west; in front of you lies what's clearly the ocean, large rocks jutting out just offshore tempering the waves. It's safe to go in the water if you so choose - assuming you can swim, that is - and the forested terrain has given way to a large beach with patches of tall grass here and there. Interestingly, there's a house located on the beach; whether it's inhabited or not is difficult to tell. Of course, exploring slightly north of the beach will reveal a path. Maybe it leads somewhere important... Experience is an excellent teacher, as is necessity. They'll be sure to figure it out sooner rather than later.

They'll definitely need it, especially if the climate gets colder the further along we go. Gotta know how to insulate a tent, and I'll admit I don't know a whole lot about that.

...I have to confess I don't know much of that. Our kingdom was a bit on the warmer side in most places.

Yeah, same with the place I'm living.

The place I grew up in had rough winters, but I wasn't living outdoors then.

[Ignis paused as if debating over whether or not his next question was a wise one to ask, but ultimately curiosity won out:]

What kind of place are you from?

[semistableman]

Well, the two places I'd call home are on opposite sides of the Earth, and different hemispheres to boot, so there's a big difference between them, climate-wise.

New York, it's got warm summers, but cold as hell winters. It's right on the coast; I used to work at the docks.

Wakanda is completely different, pretty warm year-round, doesn't get a lot of rain. It's pretty arid, but most of the land can be farmed on.

Sounds like quite the range of weather. Most of Lucis tended towards the latter, though one does find heavy rain common out to the west. Furthest across the world from that is Niflheim, which used to be a desert region--now it's primarily snow and ice.

Huh. Interesting.

I wonder how many different worlds are represented in our group?

I'd not be entirely shocked were we all from wildly varying ones. The universe seems a far wider place than any of us could have imagined.

You're telling me, and from what I've heard, the multiverse is pretty damn big.

[discutio]

It's a concept I'm still rather struggling to imagine, honestly.

[semistableman]

Same here, honestly.

By the sounds of things, Thor is... a very interesting man. Apparently his brother tried to attack a major city on my world some years back.
