Week 2.
WEEK 2. The new week begins with new surroundings. The city you've been growing accustomed to over the past week is now well behind you as you set out on your journey proper; the terrain still seems rocky and steep here as you move downhill and to the south, dotted here and there with small ponds to the east and rocky outcroppings that you can climb on to the west. There are also large expanses of tall grass here, and the entire route is flanked with tall trees leading off into the forest a short ways. You're more than welcome to explore; just don't stray too far from the group - you wouldn't want to be left behind out here, for any reason. Wild Pokémon are abundant here, as anyone venturing into the tall grass will discover; they aren't inclined to attack you, however, simply watching with dull, dead eyes as you stumble through the area they've come to call home. The trip is difficult, and it's a lot of walking, but it's not unmanageable; fortunately enough, the route you're on should lead you directly to Valor Lakefront, assuming there are no complications along the way. From Thursday and beyond, the route takes a sharp turn west; in front of you lies what's clearly the ocean, large rocks jutting out just offshore tempering the waves. It's safe to go in the water if you so choose - assuming you can swim, that is - and the forested terrain has given way to a large beach with patches of tall grass here and there. Interestingly, there's a house located on the beach; whether it's inhabited or not is difficult to tell. Of course, exploring slightly north of the beach will reveal a path. Maybe it leads somewhere important... POKEMON AVAILABLE: NEAR WATER SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week two of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due next weekend!] |

[Michael claps his hands together, smiling sharply.]
Has she done anything for us? Because what I saw on Saturday was two people sort of acting like they'd just been in a fight, and then Team Galactic agreeing to let us have some minor personal belongings of no value to them. Oh, and despite her agreeing to hold Saturn off, he actually made it here much faster than we did.
Thoughts? Because if this were me, I'd present myself as the benevolent authority on everything right away. [He spreads his hands again.] Gets you a lot of trust for basically nothing.

[ Just to make sure the point is clear, she says this evenly, her green eyes meeting Michael's. ]

Don't ask me why they'd do that - I don't know enough about whatever they're doing to start. Maybe they need some normal people who aren't visibly associated with them to do something with these lake gods. Maybe there’s just infighting.
But the point stands: they left their own senior members with their emotions intact, and we have no idea why she's still normal - or, for that matter, why we just happened to magically recover. And for someone who says she wants to fight Team Galactic, it doesn't seem like she's doing a lot of fighting Team Galactic. She was actually really willing to ditch the first friendly people she's encountered in several years.

Look, I'm not saying we should all attack her the next time we see her or something. Honestly, that would be a bad idea even if we knew she was lying. I just think we should be a little more wary. Maybe try to get some more detailed answers.

I think asking questions is good, but I think if she wanted to take advantage of us we'd be back to how we were when those people got to us, right?

[ She asks, still fairly even-toned here. ]

Perhaps we ought to be more specific in what you want to know.

How she and her Pokemon avoided all this is a big one. What she's been doing this whole time. She's got at least one large land dragon, you could wage a decent guerrilla campaign with that. How she plans on "dealing" with Cyrus, given her complete lack of success in the past few years. Maybe her relationship with him and the Commanders, because one way or another, she does seem to be acquainted with them on a personal level. If she really can defeat Saturn, why not actually do that?
Also, was her presence in Veilstone really a coincidence? Or did she have reason to suspect we might be recovering shortly? Does she have a means of gathering intelligence from within Team Galactic's operation? I could go on, but we're in the dark about far more than otherwise. She can say she doesn't want us involved in this world's affairs, but Team Galactic clearly doesn't share that opinion. They're very much our problem now, and withholding information can only put us in more danger.

... We have not proved ourselves in this world yet, but I agree entirely. Perhaps we ought to narrow those questions down to a fewer number, though.
