Week 2.
WEEK 2. The new week begins with new surroundings. The city you've been growing accustomed to over the past week is now well behind you as you set out on your journey proper; the terrain still seems rocky and steep here as you move downhill and to the south, dotted here and there with small ponds to the east and rocky outcroppings that you can climb on to the west. There are also large expanses of tall grass here, and the entire route is flanked with tall trees leading off into the forest a short ways. You're more than welcome to explore; just don't stray too far from the group - you wouldn't want to be left behind out here, for any reason. Wild Pokémon are abundant here, as anyone venturing into the tall grass will discover; they aren't inclined to attack you, however, simply watching with dull, dead eyes as you stumble through the area they've come to call home. The trip is difficult, and it's a lot of walking, but it's not unmanageable; fortunately enough, the route you're on should lead you directly to Valor Lakefront, assuming there are no complications along the way. From Thursday and beyond, the route takes a sharp turn west; in front of you lies what's clearly the ocean, large rocks jutting out just offshore tempering the waves. It's safe to go in the water if you so choose - assuming you can swim, that is - and the forested terrain has given way to a large beach with patches of tall grass here and there. Interestingly, there's a house located on the beach; whether it's inhabited or not is difficult to tell. Of course, exploring slightly north of the beach will reveal a path. Maybe it leads somewhere important... POKEMON AVAILABLE: NEAR WATER SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week two of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due next weekend!] |

So once the ground evens out, the most immediate thing that's obvious to you is HOLY FUCKING SHIT YOU FOUND A RESORT. It's not in great condition in that odd, abandoned sort of way, it doesn't look like anyone has been here permanently in some time, but you've been walking for five days and there is suddenly something resembling civilization.
...There are also movements resembling people wandering around on the upper levels, just to warn you. They don't seem able to see you, however, for the time being.]

Namely because first things first, she has no idea who's up there. Hmm. They don't seem to have noticed her, but can she make out anything about them? Any bright blue, Team Galactic wigs, all with the same haricut, or does it look like those could be regular citizens?]

Have I ever made things easier on you?
for what it's worth i am quietly screaming ARE THEY REALLY BLUE]no subject
asdfgh for what it's worth they're not SUPER blue. Kind of a teal? And goddammit, fudge—] This is why we can't have nice things.
[Stupid Team Galactic. Hogging the resort is rude, guys. But okay, she's going to look back at Monkey and Abbey and raise a finger to her lips, motioning for them to be quiet. ...Not that that isn't, like, the standard for them, but still. Let's watch our backs you guys.
...does it look like there's a lot of them up there.]

These orders might not include denying access to other patrons who just want a fluffy towel, or a meal that isn't department store provisions, or berries.
Since there doesn't look to be anyone outside, let's just... Approach the front of the building then. She's going to have Monkey go back inside his pokeball as she does so, actually, but lets the Gligar stay out. Getting closer to the door, does the reception area look clear?]

Excuse me. Are you the receptionist?
no subject
Yes. Are you with the group down the beach?
no subject
So you already noticed us... Well, I suppose you would, with the view. [Rin sees no reason to lie, if they've already been found out.] Yes. We just arrived not too long ago.

[She slides an envelope across the counter; it's white and sealed, but there's rather noticeably the Team Galactic emblem emblazoned across the front.
...Well, then.]
no subject
By who?
[Rin accepts the letter all the same, putting her game face on. Finding the envelope's seal, she slides her pinky nail under it to open it. Might as well see what it says now, in case it's urgent.]
no subject
[...Yeah.
That said, the letter inside is written in exceedingly neat cursive script and highly formally-worded, because apparently Saturn in writing has a bigger stick up his ass than Kayneth will ever have. It's surprisingly cordial as opposed to straight-up smug, and appears to be an invitation to return to this place on Saturday evening. Food will be provided (actual food, it seems, not provisions and berries but something substantial), as will full use of the facilities after the fact, with no argument or dispute regarding that aspect of the invitation.
Consider it an apology for the incident at the lake; further discussions regarding the situation can be held on Saturday, should you choose to attend.
Of course, should you not, he'll assume that the group is disinterested in a peaceful resolution.
...Whatever the hell that last part means, it makes it sound decidedly less like a request and far less like an actual apology, but it is what it is and clearly Saturn can't do anything without being a shit to everyone at least once.]
no subject
[Well that sure is a thing.
Years dealing with the Mage's Association makes the tone of Saturn's wording eye-rollingly familiar, but she'll give him this. He's a lot more cordial than the old bats at the Clock Tower. Fancy stationary, and promised amenities. It's those little touches that count.
When she's finished frowning at the letter, she'll look back up to the receptionist.]
Thank you, miss.
[Rin speaks coolly, but she'll be nothing but polite to the receptionist. Don't shoot the messenger.]
You may inform him his letter has been received, and at a minimum, my assurance that it will be passed on to the others.
