Week 2.

WEEK 2. The new week begins with new surroundings. The city you've been growing accustomed to over the past week is now well behind you as you set out on your journey proper; the terrain still seems rocky and steep here as you move downhill and to the south, dotted here and there with small ponds to the east and rocky outcroppings that you can climb on to the west. There are also large expanses of tall grass here, and the entire route is flanked with tall trees leading off into the forest a short ways. You're more than welcome to explore; just don't stray too far from the group - you wouldn't want to be left behind out here, for any reason. Wild Pokémon are abundant here, as anyone venturing into the tall grass will discover; they aren't inclined to attack you, however, simply watching with dull, dead eyes as you stumble through the area they've come to call home. The trip is difficult, and it's a lot of walking, but it's not unmanageable; fortunately enough, the route you're on should lead you directly to Valor Lakefront, assuming there are no complications along the way. From Thursday and beyond, the route takes a sharp turn west; in front of you lies what's clearly the ocean, large rocks jutting out just offshore tempering the waves. It's safe to go in the water if you so choose - assuming you can swim, that is - and the forested terrain has given way to a large beach with patches of tall grass here and there. Interestingly, there's a house located on the beach; whether it's inhabited or not is difficult to tell. Of course, exploring slightly north of the beach will reveal a path. Maybe it leads somewhere important... If those deities that escaped were who turned us back to normal, then that means they'd need those same deities to remove our spirits again.

They shouldn't be able to do that to us again if they don't have them. We can't let our guard down -- they could lock us somewhere until they have the deities again.

If they've managed to block that lake off, that could be exactly what they're planning to do; gather those deities so we'll be left useless husks to bend to their whims again.

[Yeah, she's. She's really not here for trying to peacefully work their way through this? Everything about this is earning her apprehension, and at this point she'd rather take her chances, but she knows it's not her decision alone.]

He honestly may as well have put "This is a trap" in nice, fancy font instead.

...Regardless, I think we potentially do stand to gain if we go through with this. We just need to have an escape plan for if things do go south. I don't think we're strong enough to overpower any of them, but we do have more of our wits about us than the vast majority of them. If we come up with a strategy that could distract and slow our pursuers down, I think we could make a clean escape.

I've little doubts about our ability to be slippery, should the need arise; it's the distraction that could pose an issue. What sort of distraction would people like them fall for...?

One that they couldn't avoid. I'm thinking, actually... if there's wooden or tile floors in that resort, we might be able to hinder them by having our Water Pokemon ensure that the floors are slippery when wet. My Frillish has a move called Water Sport that soaks the surrounding area, which is usually to reduce the power of Fire moves, but I don't doubt it would work for this purpose, as well.

I believe it is possible that the saliva of my newest capture might have a paralyzing agent... which could also assist?

Well, I don't really have any particular compunctions over getting saliva all over our enemies, honestly. I'd like something a little more elegant, but it's not like we have much of a choice.

As amusing as it is to imagine defeating Team Galactic by licking them to death, there's also the option of a good, old-fashioned power outage.

Well, no. They also use electricity.

[...and look, she's only marginally better than Zelda here, just without the excuse of hailing from a fantasy world. She's not sure where you'd even find the furnace equivalent.]

But somebody can figure it out, right? You see guys take the lights out all the time in action movies.
