Test 10.
EXPANSION Once again, that sense of pressure radiates through the room, the sensation that comes with standing before something that no human was likely meant to be in the presence of; the pressure is immense, something that Mars doesn't seem at all inhibited by, and if it's bothering Jupiter any it isn't evident in her demeanor, either. The challenge they've issued remains in the air between you, ringing out strong as they watch you from their position across the room, gazes sharp and cold. Your Pokémon don't seem to be taking this terribly well, though that's likely to be expected; it's the same sort of pressure that came with Dialga's presence - even if it's not currently in the room, not currently visible, there's the sense that there's something waiting just beyond the metaphorical veil. Something that shouldn't be angered or tormented more than it has been already; something that was there when the world began, and something that was likewise there when the world ended. Once again, it seems you're you're on your own for the time being; while neither of the women waiting for you seem angry, per se, they still seem very, very charged. |

[Mars stalls there, and she flounders for a moment before going back to shouting.]
Shut up! Why do all of you act like you know him, like you understand Master Cyrus better than any of us!?

What... did Master Cyrus say. In this conversation of yours.
[It's really stunted, but she's probably trying??]
no subject
[He's, uh. Definitely doing some kind of impression of Cyrus, but at least it isn't a particularly mocking one?]
And then he said some things about how he'd listen to all of you, if you wanted to talk to him about your personal stuff. It was less flowery than that. [And what Michael said wasn't flowery at all.] "They seek guidance from me," that's what he said.
None of that's really coming out and declaring his love for you. He doesn't seem like the type. Point is, you don't worry about people that are just useful to you, and you definitely don't listen to them talk about their problems.

Her gaze darts away somewhere during all of that, and she doesn't look back at Michael even when he's done.]
...Of course we seek guidance from him. Master Cyrus is an incredible person.
[...]
It... doesn't sound like you're making that up, at least.
[It's the most grudging admission, but at least it's something??]

[.....ugggggGGGGGGH. Michael sighs.]
I really don't want to get into some sort of feelings thing here. So I'm just going to say this, and afterwards, we can not talk about it anymore.
I used to run this small reality, and I had this assistant. Not the same kind of being as me, she was sort of like an artificial intelligence. They're very common tools where I'm from - Janets. It was just her and me for a long time. I was a terrible person back then, and even I - when I thought I might lose her, it was - [He pauses and licks his lips before trying again.] It was the scariest thing I'd experienced up until that point. And I didn't even really get that I cared about her before that happened.
Cyrus is a better person than that. And he already cares about your welfare. So...so that's why I think that it's going to be hard for him to lose you. I don't know if that's projection, I'm really just trying to work from what I have here.
[He's done now, and true to his word, he seems really uncomfortable now!]
no subject
If he believes it's necessary, then I won't hesitate.
...But I wouldn't want that to be hard on him. I wouldn't want him to hurt, especially not over&mash;
[...
She shakes her head after a moment.]
I don't know if you're right. I really hope you aren't.
no subject
[okay OKAY NOW HE'S DONE BOOK SHUT ON THAT INCIDENT]
I don't know. I think I am, wouldn't have gone through that whole thing if I didn't. But Cyrus is the only one who could say for sure - not like either of us will be around when he finds out.
no subject
...I think... I think I should try to talk to him. About this.
[oh my god she's trying so hard but she's bad at things that are not yelling??]
no subject
[He slips his hands into his pockets, still visibly uneasy.]
Just - well. I know he'll listen to you, but he did say that he doesn't really put his personal stuff on anyone else. Doesn't mean he doesn't have it. If he'll talk about that with anyone, though, it'd be one of you.
no subject
[She's quiet for a moment before speaking up again.]
That stuff you told me? I'm sorry about it. Both that it happened and that you had to say it. Don't worry, I'm not going to dwell on it, but I did want to thank you for trying to explain things to me.
...And maybe I'm a little sorry for threatening to kill you.
[she's actually Trying she's just really bad at this.]
no subject
[He chews on his lip for a moment.]
And you're welcome. My stuff worked out fine in the end. I hope yours does, too. [in like, a way that's also okay for other people? these feelings are confusing and you're not the person he wants to work through them with because they are about you.]
no subject
[thanks for being so patient with her...]

Cyrus doesn't strike me as the sort to feign caring about people; it's genuine, in his own way.
