Week 22.
WEEK 22 The last time you were in Snowpoint City, it was after a week of hiking through waist-deep snow and a perpetual storm; needless to say, the flight is a little rough due to turbulence but it's definitely nowhere near as miserable. Granted, the seasons are turning and as such the city is even colder than it was before; it was frigid in July, and as it turns out, it's even moreso in November. But the snowfall within the city itself is gentle, if constant, coating the buildings and rooftops with a light powder that sticks just enough to be played in. The temple doors are no longer frozen over, though the gym remains closed; the Shellos here seem to be trying to re-enact West Side Story again, but that's likely better than simply being blank and emotionless. There have thankfully been other changes to the world, as is noticeable when you arrive; among other things, the people at the Pokémon Center seem to recognize you, and they seem almost pleased to see you... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: SNOWY TERRAIN MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week twenty-two of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

This is rude. You've got no grace. You should carry me like a princess.
You've got perfectly functional legs. I shouldn't carry you at all.
It's cold! I shouldn't have to WALK in all this! You're so mean to me!
[A flash of light, and Audhulma disappears, reappearing in an instant to poise herself perfectly so Latona can catch her in her arms—and Latona just lets her drop to the ground into the snow.]
What have we learned today.
That I am isolated in this cruel tundra of a world! That even those you trust most and endlessly offer your heart to will betray you, will leave you to die in the lonely arctic...!
[Audhulma absolutely does not stop the theatrics even as Latona, ever-weary, scoops Audhulma out of the snow, holding her bridal style in her arms so she can march right on. Where has Emmeryn gone. Why are you two doing this.
In the afternoon, it's Heim's turn to get himself in trouble as he works on learning what an opinion is and how to have one. Emmeryn lingers nearby, not half as bundled up as her egg. Before setting it in the carrier sling, she bundled it up in just about every scarf in her possession, and she still keeps an arm around it in front of her.
She watches Heim flutter this way and that, inquisitive and distracted. Wings! He likes those, and likes having those; he enjoys flying. Snow—he veers off-course mid-flight with a look of purpose in his eyes focused on a snowbank and crashes right into it. He doesn't like that! Not at all! A muffled squall comes from inside the snowbank, persistent until Emmeryn comes over to dig him out. Shellos? He flutters down in between some warring factions and hovers only an inch or two off the ground. What's going on, gang? How are we doing? He receives a face full of mud-slap for his effort, and flies, crying, to Emmeryn. How could anyone do such a thing?! Emmeryn unwinds the scarf around her own neck and bundles Heim up in it; his wings twitch underneath and he shakes and flails until he can throw the scarf to the ground. He likes wings, though, and he likes Emmeryn, so he decides on flying right next to her face, where she has to deal with him occasionally just colliding into her and ruining her hair. Please feel free to interrupt any phase of "Heim learns what a feeling is and if he likes it or not."
From the early evening, Emmeryn holes up in the Pokémon Center, where she trades the staff tea from her apparently infinite supply for some kompot. While she sits at a table with her egg in her lap, Audhulma and Latona sitting nearby, and Heim fluttering near her face some more, Duma paces back and forth across the Center without any apparent aim. Once in a while, he rumbles, quiet, mid-march. Otherwise, he shows no interest in anything or anyone in his way except to waddle around it. What a world we live in that Duma's causing the least trouble of her whole team today...
Despite the weather, Emmeryn's as warm as ever, smiling at everyone coming in.]
Good evening. The snow is so much easier to appreciate without having spent a week trudging in it already, hm?
Evening
[The week they spent trudging in snow kind of soured his opinion on snow, yeah]

[He's getting over his recent distaste once it's diamond dust time]
evening
[He sits down with his own delicious kompot to converse like a human being.]
Admittedly, I still haven't gotten used to flying like this, but... if nothing else, it's over quickly enough.

[ He almost sounds sincere. ]

[Latona, at least, has a little more humor about the whole thing—] Look at that, someone appreciates my efforts.
[But she is so ready to have to haul Audhulma out of a fight. Why must she be the responsible friend.]
