Week 22.
WEEK 22 The last time you were in Snowpoint City, it was after a week of hiking through waist-deep snow and a perpetual storm; needless to say, the flight is a little rough due to turbulence but it's definitely nowhere near as miserable. Granted, the seasons are turning and as such the city is even colder than it was before; it was frigid in July, and as it turns out, it's even moreso in November. But the snowfall within the city itself is gentle, if constant, coating the buildings and rooftops with a light powder that sticks just enough to be played in. The temple doors are no longer frozen over, though the gym remains closed; the Shellos here seem to be trying to re-enact West Side Story again, but that's likely better than simply being blank and emotionless. There have thankfully been other changes to the world, as is noticeable when you arrive; among other things, the people at the Pokémon Center seem to recognize you, and they seem almost pleased to see you... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: SNOWY TERRAIN MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week twenty-two of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

MONDAY

This is rude. You've got no grace. You should carry me like a princess.
You've got perfectly functional legs. I shouldn't carry you at all.
It's cold! I shouldn't have to WALK in all this! You're so mean to me!
[A flash of light, and Audhulma disappears, reappearing in an instant to poise herself perfectly so Latona can catch her in her arms—and Latona just lets her drop to the ground into the snow.]
What have we learned today.
That I am isolated in this cruel tundra of a world! That even those you trust most and endlessly offer your heart to will betray you, will leave you to die in the lonely arctic...!
[Audhulma absolutely does not stop the theatrics even as Latona, ever-weary, scoops Audhulma out of the snow, holding her bridal style in her arms so she can march right on. Where has Emmeryn gone. Why are you two doing this.
In the afternoon, it's Heim's turn to get himself in trouble as he works on learning what an opinion is and how to have one. Emmeryn lingers nearby, not half as bundled up as her egg. Before setting it in the carrier sling, she bundled it up in just about every scarf in her possession, and she still keeps an arm around it in front of her.
She watches Heim flutter this way and that, inquisitive and distracted. Wings! He likes those, and likes having those; he enjoys flying. Snow—he veers off-course mid-flight with a look of purpose in his eyes focused on a snowbank and crashes right into it. He doesn't like that! Not at all! A muffled squall comes from inside the snowbank, persistent until Emmeryn comes over to dig him out. Shellos? He flutters down in between some warring factions and hovers only an inch or two off the ground. What's going on, gang? How are we doing? He receives a face full of mud-slap for his effort, and flies, crying, to Emmeryn. How could anyone do such a thing?! Emmeryn unwinds the scarf around her own neck and bundles Heim up in it; his wings twitch underneath and he shakes and flails until he can throw the scarf to the ground. He likes wings, though, and he likes Emmeryn, so he decides on flying right next to her face, where she has to deal with him occasionally just colliding into her and ruining her hair. Please feel free to interrupt any phase of "Heim learns what a feeling is and if he likes it or not."
From the early evening, Emmeryn holes up in the Pokémon Center, where she trades the staff tea from her apparently infinite supply for some kompot. While she sits at a table with her egg in her lap, Audhulma and Latona sitting nearby, and Heim fluttering near her face some more, Duma paces back and forth across the Center without any apparent aim. Once in a while, he rumbles, quiet, mid-march. Otherwise, he shows no interest in anything or anyone in his way except to waddle around it. What a world we live in that Duma's causing the least trouble of her whole team today...
Despite the weather, Emmeryn's as warm as ever, smiling at everyone coming in.]
Good evening. The snow is so much easier to appreciate without having spent a week trudging in it already, hm?
Evening
[The week they spent trudging in snow kind of soured his opinion on snow, yeah]

[He sits down with his own delicious kompot to converse like a human being.]
Admittedly, I still haven't gotten used to flying like this, but... if nothing else, it's over quickly enough.

But when they get Outside...]
Huh?
[Atsushi squints up into the cloudy sky, noticing that the snow coming down is...different than it had been previously. He's at least wearing a jacket now that he bought from the store, so the sparkly diamond like snow falling onto him isn't too cold. Whatever it is, and however it's happening, it's incredibly beautiful. Grace bounds through the snow with excited squeaks, covered in sparkling white near immediately even as Atsushi and Mizushi follow her out into the snow.]
Wow...

[Michael's winter coat is a dark navy blue. The shiny snow glitters brightly on it as he holds an arm up to inspect it.]

[ She, of course, goes for the Sheikah Slate on her belt so that she can take some pictures! Or well, she intends to right up until it makes a weird beep. She groans and shakes it, and once she does, Vah Daroh the Porygon-2 pops out of the screen, turning back to real instead of data and perhaps huffing a little. ]

Maybe it's because it looks...special. The rest of his team, out of their Pokeballs, trudge into the snow. Haruka in concrete is enjoying the place a lot, diving into the snowbanks with joy]
I didn't think I'd be glad to see snow again.
[Not too long ago he told Emmeryn he wasn't fond of snow these days, yet now here he is. Figures.
Later, Daigo, Aka, and Ni go around. They all are carrying lumber for the residents, or helping around any way they can. The people of Snowpoint aren't in condition to thank them or anything, but they do it nonetheless. It seems that since he evolved, Daigo has taken his rightful place as Kiryu's right hand, guiding everyone else in the team]

After that, he visits the temple. You can probably find him hanging around there, either having an entirely one-sided chat with Big Blinky, or else just poking around.]
It's funny how this guy's the only god with a temple here, isn't it? Unless we count that church from Hearthome. I don't, that was just weird.
[Tonight, he'll be making kompot in the Pokemon Center. It's finally cold enough for the single other human food he really knows how to make!]
Want a mug?
temple
[Ignis brought a hand to his mouth in thought, Hemera at his feet and silver Eevee perched comfortably on his shoulder.]
There's the statue back in Eterna; safe to assume by now it's a combined dedication to Dialga and Palkia unless I've very much misunderstood how it looks. Odd that we've not encountered anything for the creator god so far as I'm aware, though.

Even so, he can't help but train anyway. It's all he knows how to do, and it keeps his Pokemon happy, so he can't really refuse them. Today, though, practice is a pretty laid back affair: Sena's just throwing the football for his Pokemon to catch. Although...throwing is kind of a strong word for it.
He's doing his best.
Eventually, though, between his clumsy tosses and Portus cheating by just telporting to where the ball's going to land, the Kadabra switches place with Sena and starts throwing balls instead. And by throwing them, he means "psychically launching them with the speed and force of a bullet." It's an awful lot like Hiruma's sharp rotating passes, actually, so Sena doesn't find it too alarming.
In fact, he's so used to that type of pass that onlookers can find Sena joining in on the catch practice, weaving in and out of his team with precise accuracy. While he can't always overpower or outspeed them (they've all evolved enough that they're definitely faster and stronger than him by this point), his own finely tuned instincts and extensive practice means that he can sometimes outmaneuver them on sheer footwork alone.
It's. It's definitely some kind of training, but isn't this just kind of a more ridiculous version of catch...?]
danger catch
[This seems more effective than battling, tbh]
