Week 22.

WEEK 22 The last time you were in Snowpoint City, it was after a week of hiking through waist-deep snow and a perpetual storm; needless to say, the flight is a little rough due to turbulence but it's definitely nowhere near as miserable. Granted, the seasons are turning and as such the city is even colder than it was before; it was frigid in July, and as it turns out, it's even moreso in November. But the snowfall within the city itself is gentle, if constant, coating the buildings and rooftops with a light powder that sticks just enough to be played in. The temple doors are no longer frozen over, though the gym remains closed; the Shellos here seem to be trying to re-enact West Side Story again, but that's likely better than simply being blank and emotionless. There have thankfully been other changes to the world, as is noticeable when you arrive; among other things, the people at the Pokémon Center seem to recognize you, and they seem almost pleased to see you... [For the first time in a while, Kiryu can say he appreciates the snow. In the morning, on the Pokecenter, they all go outside.

Maybe it's because it looks...special. The rest of his team, out of their Pokeballs, trudge into the snow. Haruka in concrete is enjoying the place a lot, diving into the snowbanks with joy]

I didn't think I'd be glad to see snow again.

[Not too long ago he told Emmeryn he wasn't fond of snow these days, yet now here he is. Figures.

Later, Daigo, Aka, and Ni go around. They all are carrying lumber for the residents, or helping around any way they can. The people of Snowpoint aren't in condition to thank them or anything, but they do it nonetheless. It seems that since he evolved, Daigo has taken his rightful place as Kiryu's right hand, guiding everyone else in the team]

...that bear has grown a lot since I met him a few months ago, and I don't mean how tall he is now.

He's a good leader, huh? Really seems to like helpin' out.

He wasn't like this before he evolved. I guess once that happened he wanted to look for ways to make himself useful.

Maybe that's just a part of growing up, don't you think?

...I'm starting to feel like I have been raising six children these last few months.

Yeah, it's sorta weird. But I'm happy for 'em. Everyone here, when they had feelings, they really seemed to love their Pokémon too, didn't they?

They did. You don't make your lives revolve around them if you don't love them.

[It'd be heartwarming, but everyone not having spirit puts a damper on it]

Kinda makes me think. We kinda build our lives around keeping animals away, not working with 'em, huh? Then again, it's not like sandworms are intelligent...

Yeah. I don't think in my world we do anything like this, unless all the mascots that exist count.
