ღ you know i'll take you to another world

[...Well, if nothing else, this trip to Giratina's World has been enlightening if nothing else. Even if everybody just kind of found out nothing that they really wanted to find out, nobody had to die tonight, and frankly, that was enough.

This has to be one of the oddest places to do their usual 'after near death experience' parties, to say the least, but food is generally one of the better cures for such a thing and will be seen to, one way or another. Even in this weird, weird world.

Rest easy, everyone. Even in...quite possibly the most uneasy place known to man.]

Might have! I never did get to talk to Liam when he was anything more than - you know, not. And I know Kayneth wanted to see the foot man.

[He says, like you're just supposed to remember that footprint guy from several months ago?]

Even if we don't, we might want to slow our pace a little. Going to a linear timeline from a non-linear one can be a little jarring.

Just the way it keeps on moving forward and all that. See, time on Earth - and on Sinnoh, when it's working - it just goes in a straight line. One thing happens, and then the next thing happens. This feels more like a bubble, everything all at once.

Of course, back home, time moves in a Jeremy Bearimy.

[It's fucking happening]

Ah. [Michael thinks for a moment, then pulls a notepad out of one of his pockets and draws on it for a moment before handing it over.] That's what the timeline in the afterlife looks like.

[you have no idea how much I hate this show]

It's shaped a bit like the name "Jeremy Bearimy" in a flowery English cursive, so that's what we call it.

It moves in a Jeremy Bearimy.

[He sort of traces the shape of the, uh. Jeremy Bearimy.]

...really?

[He looks again at his paper, then at her.]

It's...just Jeremy Bearimy.

Well, not for you. Makes perfect sense for us.

The humans there don't usually realize it's happening. I think - I've never heard any of them say anything about it. Honestly, I don't know how well you could pick up on it, I'm not sure how you experience the passage of time.
