[...Well, if nothing else, this trip to Giratina's World has been enlightening if nothing else. Even if everybody just kind of found out nothing that they really wanted to find out, nobody had to die tonight, and frankly, that was enough.

This has to be one of the oddest places to do their usual 'after near death experience' parties, to say the least, but food is generally one of the better cures for such a thing and will be seen to, one way or another. Even in this weird, weird world.

Rest easy, everyone. Even in...quite possibly the most uneasy place known to man.]

Yeah, that's true. Man... Giratina's not satisfied with telling us to go pound sand, it just had to go a little overkill an' kidnap us so we couldn't say no, huh? Wonder why it thinks Cyrus'll just snap if we lose to 'im? Freaks me out.

Do you think it's so unlikely? He's been willing to kill to stop us already. And that's not even him on the ropes.

Yeah, you got a point. I don't know what to do. All we can do is try an' talk 'im out of it, and he could just unmake everything. I'm terrified.

[Breathes.]

But I'm always terrified. And as time goes on, I think we got what it takes, whatever that is.

It's hard to say. What that would be, I mean. But things have worked out for us thus far, it's...reasonable to think that it might again.

Going into it expecting to fail can't help, at least.

Yeah, I know. ...Iunno, I'm still low-key terrified about everything that's tryna kill us, but I feel a little more prepared to face it in a way that isn't "run." You know?

Yeah, I get it.

We'll be alright. It's going to work out. [Does he actually believe that? Eh. Doesn't hurt anything to say.] I, for one, am gonna leave all the talking to Rey and Emmeryn. Not sure if Rey's gonna be a help or a liability, but there's something going on there.

You mean 'cause she spilled to Cyrus?

[He draws out the word a little.]

She sympathizes with people too much, too fast. Always thought Cynthia was great too, didn't she? Heck, she still seems to. [He, uh, may just be slightly salty that Rey took Cynthia's side over his in that argument they just had. You know, the one that was mostly just him being a douche.]

I mean, you guys tend to demonize Cynthia a little. Wait, that's offensive. You know what I mean.

It is offensive, isn't it?

You still think she's the bee's knees, too?

I think she's a screwup, but that's different from the root of all evil. Or something like that.

...well, no. I guess not. Still.

[He's calmed down enough to mull that over for a second.]

I'm not even really as upset about the Dawn stuff as some people. I do think she should have told us, though. Maybe it would have felt better coming from her?

Yeah, I guess so. She's clearly pretty messed up about it herself, but she should've given us warning. Though I guess it's hard for people to talk about their mistakes.

I...yeah, I guess it is.

Just from a tactical sense, she shouldn't have let us hear about it from her enemy. You need to manage that kind of information.
